These are music games, so it comes down to the music.... and Rock Band has a BOAT LOAD of music.. plus I've heard the GH drums are breaking all over the place... stuff like, you hit the yellow and it activates the red too.... whatever.... my RB1 stuff is in perfect condition so Rock Band for me.... but might rent GH to see how it is
Guitar Hero seems to satisfy my escalating necessity for difficulty, which honestly makes these rhythm games so exciting. So what if i can play my favorite song on rock band, it still gets boring because all im doing is hitting a squishy strum-bar in sync with a repetitive pattern of only green and red notes on expert
its kinda the same, rock band 2 has more song with the DLC but GH songs are more difficult, i preffer GH1407
Guitar Hero songs are more difficult because they are overcharted. And Rock Band 2 has its share of insanely hard songs. Visions, Battery, and Panick Attack. And coming up in DLC are bands like Underoath and BTBAM which are going to be near impossible.

unfortunatly gh4 took the rock band way on this one, many songs hardly have anything but the same patern :l
only because i cannot use the rockband guitar. its just too horrible, and im very used to the guitar hero guitar.
Plus, the drum set is much more realistic, and i have 0 problems with it. ANd i bet 90% of the problems are people who didnt plug the cymbals in completely, thats what i did, and i failed qiuickely. one quick push in and its fine.
I prefer guitar hero over rock band. I haven't played GHWT yet because i'm having a hard time finding the GHWT band kit, they have a bunch of guitar+game bundle but i want the full experience. looks like i'm going to have to wait a little longer to get my hands on it. ugh why did they have to release it so close to christmas... crazy parents flocking to the store to buy for their children for xmas. "sold out in 10 minutes of store opening"
