So Ive pre ordered my copy of rock band on the PS3....I still have the option to switch it to rock band on the 360. But seeing how I havnt kept up on the game recently I wanted to know the pros and cons of the 2 versions. Mostly I want the PS3 rock band for the wireless guitar that comes with it (as Ill be sitting just about 11ft from my tv and dont think a corded one will reach). Altho Im worried that the online play/features will be lackluster due to the 360 "having a better online set up" While I dont believe that is true, it seems most developers who do multi platform games usally slack off when it comes to online content for the Ps3. Now with all that being said, am I just worrying too much, and both versions will be nearly the same? Or is there any benifit having one over the other? And am I even posting this in the right forum?...

It'll actually be better on PS3, as you can Rock out all day without setting your house aflame.

better online setup of the 360??

those are just a bunch of 360 fanboys who want to think their console is the best. people cant grasp the idea that ps3 is much better.

you should buy it for ps3. plus, if you are gonna set that far away, you need wireless and great graphics.

but good luck with that game. my uncle worked on it, and he let me play....the controller has twice as many buttons as guitar hero, so have fun lol

I would think the major difference you would pick the PS3 version is that, as ^ said, the guitar is wireless. The 360 bundle will include a wired guitar with a wireless version to follow some time next year. I say, why wait until next year. Not to mention you don't have to pay for the online play on PS3. I don't play online enough to pay for Live, that's why I love my PS3. Now, honestly, posting this in a PS3 board, what did you expect to hear? This really should be in system wars.

No, they don't both have wireless guitars. As I just said, the 360 bundle will include a WIRED guitar initially. They haven't finished development on the wireless for 360 yet.

I thought of posting it in system wars, but I figured that people on a PS3 board, or 360 board, would know more about their respective version of the game. Because until today I didnt know if the PS3 version will get the extra downloadable tracks. So..yea. The only thing that is my concern is if they are going to shaft the Ps3 in terms of online content. But so far it seems like harmonix is going to do the same stuff on both systems which makes me pretty happy.

I'd get the 360 version of guitar hero (I've seen both and the 360 was better looking, and works with GH2!) I'llprobably get the PS3 ver. of Rock Band, but I won't be rushing to get it like GH.
