Well it looks as if they change the name form L.A. Noire to Agent...at least I hope that is correct; and it is a PS3 exclusive woot! Anyway this game looked pretty cool when they released the very first trailer for it, anyone know of any new media?

I hope not, I was so pissed off when I saw Kojima on the Microsoft stage :( Also FFXIV better STAY exclusive.

No kiddin man! Btw, I'm kinda confused about that. Is the MGS that's going to the 360 just MGS4 with new content, or is it a completely new game?

It's a whole new game starring Raiden. I'm just going to ask you guys this. So please don't get offended or mad, I'm not trying to flame. Why would you be angry that MGS went to the 360? MGS4, and the whole MGS series, is a masterpiece. I don't understand why people want all these amazing games on only their system. Like... We are all gamers, are we not? Why would you want to limit the people who can play these amazing games? Don't get me wrong, exclusives are fine. They help sell systems and certain exclusives really show off the power and features of a console (Killzone 2, GeOW2, etc etc) but I don't see why you would get upset about more people playing the games you love. I own all these next gen systems, so I understand the benefits of each. I love them all (The Wii les though, because it just doesn't appeal to me) So I'm just curious. I'm not trying to flame. I'm just coming at this with this angle, I've always been a MGS fan (not MG because I never played them) from PSX. I just got a PS3 a few months ago just so I could play MGS4 (Original 360 owner) and I LOVED it. But I had to buy a PS3, which isn't bad because it's an amazing console also, but I had to spend a lot of money. I wouldn't be mad of GeOW went to PS3, or Mario to the other two. It just means more people can play amazing games. Iuno.L.A Noire is a different game developed by Team Bondi.Well it looks as if they change the name form L.A. Agent is about a spy set in the 1970's. L.A Noire is about a detective in the 40's. So we get 2 exclusives (speculation of L.A Noire going multiplat has not been confirmed) And I'm super hyped for both games

Some games (like MGS) are console sellers, and if they go multiplat., there really isn't a reason to still go out and buy a PS3 as in MGS's case. It's the same with the 360. If a game like Gears of War went to the PS3, there really wouldn't be any reason for PS3 gamers to go out and buy a 360 anymore, which some people would have done, just so they could play that game.

I dont know where jakster got the idea that they changed the name from L.A. Noire to Agent. AtticusFinch88 is correct except for the fact that L.A. Noire is coming out for the 360 and PC too.

I didn't realise a multiplat release for L.A Noire was announced. well I guess that might be another reason why it's taking so longL.A Noire is a different game developed by Team Bondi.[QUOTE="jakster_91"]

QFT, but I wouldn't get too crazy about them being exclusive because they probably won't. Games are too expensive to develop without opening them up to the largest consumer base possible. Even all of Microsoft's money has only bought them TIMED exclusivity on their games (Bioshock, Fallout 3's DLC, etc).

yea, exactly, i have all 3 next gen systems, wii, xbox and ps3. while i game on all of them, the ps3 is the most i use. my is i barely even notice i have it lol, my xbox is kinda collectin dust, cuz i dont want to play online on it cuz well it charges. anyways i dontmind if any game is multiplatform or goes on other systems, im actually glad others get to experience it. BUT some games or others NEED to be exclusive so when ppl go out and see wat system to buy since they can afford only one, they know wat system offers wat. i mean if say mgs or warhawk or somethin like that was on xbox, why would anyone like rodney said go and buy a ps3, or the other way around, if gears or halo was on ps3 why would ppl buy a xbox.certain tittles need to me exclusive on either system they all need their share of exclusives. but these days everythin is going to every system which is kinda bad and good at the same time, i just wish sony would actually put their hands in their pockets alil, i know they losing money and cuttin back jobs at sony, but once in a while they need to do it, for their own sakes. i love sony, i aint no fan boy but i do prefer the ps3 more than any other system, it offers wat i need, free online, blu ray, wb browser, free stuff on the psn store lol, and games like god of war 3 which i cant wait!!!!! for!!!! lol
I thought that they had changed the name because I always thought L.A. Noire was being developped by Rockstar and I hadnt heard anything about it for ages. Then this came out and i assumed they just changed it. Besidea that, I guess others have explained most of it, but theres still a sense of attachement to games and their platforms on behalf of the fans. I mean if they were to remake Crash Bandicoot and it would go to the 360 that would be a real backstab in my opinion. Sony practically made Naughty Dog what it is today so something like that would be like treason. Same goes for FFXIII and MGS. Its just annoying when publishers that once were "alligned" with a console leave. It kinda defines the console, but then that semi source of identity is lost.
Oh and btw FFXIV is PS3 exclusive and its online, like FFXIII think.
Even if L.A. Noire is not exclusive I am looking forward to both these game as well, very much so.Agent is about a spy set in the 1970's. L.A Noire is about a detective in the 40's. Mm. Iuno. I mean I understand the benefits and stuff of exclusives, but I wouldn't be ANGRY if we lost one. Maybe a little disappointed, but I'd be glad all those people can play an amazing game. Iuno. Must just be me. Also, I thought Crash Bandicoot was on the 360 and Xbox? And FFXIII is on the 360. And FFXIV they said they are looking into bringing it to the 360. So who knows.I thought that they had changed the name because I always thought L.A. Noire was being developped by Rockstar and I hadnt heard anything about it for ages. Im pretty sure they said in the press conferance that FFXIV was PS3 exclusive but dunno. For a while everyone thought Oblivion was.
i think la norie anagent are two different exclusives, i could be wrong, but agent is supposed to be like a spy game while la noire was like a 30's detective or something
I hope it's good and if it is I really hope PS3 owners support it because were the ones who always want exclusives but yet when the good ones come, the sales aren't that high when they first come out. Xbox owners seem to buy more exclusives and you guys wonder why companies make games multiplat.
I'm glad they finally gave us some news about it! Great news for the PS3!
I wonder if it'll end up going to the 360 a year or two down the road after it's released on the PS3. It seems like alot of "exclusive" games these days go mulitplatform eventually...
rodney130
MGS isn't exclusive. It is a third part title and they have their choice or not whether they want to put it on different platforms or not. But I personally think that Kojima was pressured by Konami to put it multiplatform.

Because there are a lot more MS owners that Sony owners.

Iuno.i hear what you're saying...but its all about competition thats why...all in all Kojima with MGS has never really been an exclusive to anyone truthfully...and MGS4 is stilla PS3 exclusive...RISING is just on another level....i would be a little eh about it but as long asit isnt first party games i dont care what games go multiplatform...Uncharted stay on PS3 along with InFAMOUS and Killzone and GOd of War 3 and so on....and Halo stay on 360 along with Gears of War with Fable and games like that.....one thing i definitely dont support though is exclusive dlc...the DLC should be enjoyed by everyone that has the game not just half...
Hey man, personally... i like some of the higher ed games to stay on the ps3. Because from PERSONAL experience, the games that are designed specifically FOR the ps3, are far beyond any multiplat game, or xbox 360 exclusive. Look at killzone 2, Uncharted and MGS4, all made ON ps3. FOR ps3, all amazing. If they start develloping games for 360, im afraid the quality will lack a little.
In saying that, if the quality doesnt change, then im more than happy to have more gamers playing these amazing games :)
