Roommate broke my new Ps3 super slim

My roommate is a very selfish person, he always uses my things without my permission he acts like he owns the whole room. So here's how the story goes:

Yesterday I wanted to play his Xbox 360 and he refused to let me play it as a matter of fact he wouldn't let me even NEAR the thing. So after a few days going by I decided it was time to save up for a new console with my own money. So after a month or 2 I was finally able to get a Ps3 for myself (and GTA 5) My roommate all of suddenly texts me saying "Oh my Xbox got the RROD" so I kept walking to my car and drove back to the campus.When I got home with my PS3 he started to get curious for what I bought. Once I took the PS3 out he started to jump up and down saying "Yay a new console for me and you" then he started going even crazier when I took out gta 5 even coming to the point where he started hugging me. After that we both played GTA 5 and went to sleep. At Midnight he ended up sneaking on the PS3. . Instead I ignored it and let him play. Then I heard a cracking sound when he opened the door. I heard it and went to investigate only to see the door jammed. ..

And what was his reply

"Im going to bed"

Such a ignorant roommate

What should I do?

I have the warranty on it but im going to have to pay a little extra cash to send it in

Any suggestions,?

Give him a good old fashion beat down that he'll remember for decades, then start looking for a new roommate.

@c_smithii: I had a ps3 fat before and it got the ylod. I gave it to my cousin who actually took the time to fix it and it still works to this day. I guess I could get another one but I think it might be its better for me to get a another slim. Just so it has 5% chance of not getting the ylod. Im thinking about getting the one without the sliding door. I might get the ps3 slim.

I would move out. You can't change people and he sounds like has some growing up to do. Whether or not he refuses to pay is irrelevant at this point. Go get a new place. If you're college then it's even easier. Just talk to your floor/building manager and grab a new place.

That sucks, I don't understand you just decided to save up money for a PS3 a couple of days ago when he didn't want you to touch his Xbox but then you said "a month or so" has passed.

Anyway, that sucks, will it still play games despite the door being stuck? like is it stuck in the open position or does the drive just not work? I'd try to take it back to the retailer if you can at all. Its funny, this roommate of yours literally sounds like the kid Michael C. Hall's character adopts in Six Feet Under who ends up taking apart a brand new PS2 for the sake of,.. well I don't know chaos I suppose.

I'd get it replaced even if it costs a bit in shipping and suddenly tell him you're moving out so that maybe he'll wise up and treat you better after "convincing" you to stay. Since its Xmas break right now I'm thinking your not roommates at a Univeristy, just roommates for the sake of living not school
