Round 2: Are you more excited to play Skyrim or Dark Souls? And why?

I have been thinking about these 2 games a lot lately so I wanted to make another poll between these 2 to find out what others are thinking. Dark Souls is looking really good but overall I am more excited to play Skyrim. The massive scale, improved combat and levelling system for Skyrim has me intrigued.

Skyrim looks awesome Not really excited about Dark Souls. JRPGs aren't my cup of tea.

I wouldn't touch Dark Souls with your controller. I like to enjoy my games not be punished by them. Haha. I am sure it is not that bad, but between a wife, baby, FT job, school, and life's other responsibilities, I prefer to sit down, enjoy, and get lost in the game world without much frustration. Skyrim is a day one purchase for me.

The only thing that bothers me about not having played Demon's Souls and not wanting to play Dark Souls is that the dark art style is so enticing to me. I really wish I could just sit back and watch a skilled player tackle the game on my TV while I suck down beers and giggle.

I'm getting both, but I'll probably end up getting Dark Souls next year and Skyrim this year. I'm currently not in the mood to play a game meant that will aggravate me as Demon's Souls often did at times. Plus, as long as there's no major bugs in Skyrim the game looks to be pretty much amazing.

Then again, they're completely different games with the only real similarity being you can use the same type of weapons and level up. Other than that there are very few similarities.

Dark Souls. i loved Demon's Souls more than any game Bethesda ever made. Don't get me wrong i love Bethesda RPGs but From Software just blew my head off with Demon's Souls.

Skyrim definitely. Didn't play Demon's Souls, don't really understand the appeal (No story and barely any characters? Is it really so fantastic to get killed 5,000 times?), and I'm not interested in the "sort of" sequel. Skyrim should be a pretty epic game though.

Dark Souls definitely. I had a blast beating Demon's Souls for the first time, just this week.

I couldn't care less about dark souls, and skyrim is actually round 5.

Considering I've heard Demon Souls ate your face and apparently Dark Souls will eat your face while sprinkling salt on your wounds and lighting you on fire...

Skyrim, for obvious reasons already stated. Dark Souls gonna be the same, "die 100 times til you figure out the pattern" bull that was Demon's Souls. And chances are it won't have a story, decent soundtrack or noteworthy characters, just like its predecessor.
