I want to connect my PS3 to the internet.  My PC which is upstairs is connected my ethernet from the phone line.  My PS3 is dwnstairs?  Do I need another ethernet cable or router?  No clue how to connect it from the phone line when the cable is being used for my PC.

Thanks for your help!!

The easiest option would be to hook up a wireless router to the modem upstairs.  If the router has a switch built in you can connect your PC using the ethernet cable like you do at the moment.  The PS3 can connect wirelessly.  Just make sure you buy a router that supports WPA2/WPA as well as WEP.

You want something like the Linksys WRT54G.  You can plug your broadband modem in to it using ethernet, your PC using ethernet, and then connect your wireless devices using well wireless.

Hope that helps.

I'm sure if anyone else has any suggestions for other wireless routers they will leave them for you below.

Will this one do the job?  And, are they easy to set up?  I wouldn't know where to start.

You will need an external broadband modem.  Depending on if you have cable or ADSL and your provider you may be able to get a broadband wireless modem/router combo.
