If I pick up FF13 it will be my first FF game! But I will be picking that up for the Xbox since Square Enix has made a decision to make that game a Microsoft exclusive. I am not that excited for any other JRPGs but Rise of the Argonauts, Fallout 3, Fable II and in the distant future Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 are definite buys for me.
I'm currently burning my time with Disgaea 3, and waiting for Valkyria Chronicles and Persona 4 this year.

What are you talking about? FF13 is NOT exclusive to anyone (unless you're in Japan; only PS3 version there).

Resistance 2!!!GreenGoblin2099
 You know what, it's actually got some RPG elements to it with the unique classes and leveling to unlock new weapons, but I doubt anyone will call it an RPG! :P

What's an RPG anyway??
Zelda is considered an RPG and it doesn't have any of that
Yes I know I have been having quite a few of those today, I was like Oh crap! after the first guy told me so. That's what happens when you don't think and type.

No worries man - it's all in good fun. :P Just be careful next time, you don't want to spreading around false information to the morons out there in the world. ;)

Good luck with that.
It isn't that far fetched. Nippon Ichi has the license for all the series used in the game except Dark Stalkers

I ask him the same question actually when I saw his second post I edited mine:P
So far the ps3 has more rpgs I want to play. But then again this gen has a laughable rpg line up. Even if you put all the rpgs from all consoles together, it will still be unimpressive. Hopefully TGS (in 4 days) will bring something good to the table. Eternal sonata, valkyria chronicles , tales of vesperia and dawn of the new world are the only rpgs that catch my interest. Actually add disgaea 3 in. I wasn't interested in disgaea3 until my room mate was spending hours on the TV playing the game. I thought the fool was possessed lol. My roomie is 40 hours into it and he's still not bored of it. The heck?!
Fellow rpger's don't forget about Ar Tonelico II for the Ps2 this December! Don't overlook this one!

An RPG is a role playing game.
Many thing's could be classed as an RPG but mainly a game in the RPG genre is something heavily story based where you take the role of a charcter that can be customized to suit the role your playing, allot of dialouge and interaction with the world are other elements of an rpg.
The term RPG was taken from pen and paper role playing games, im sure somebody could explain it allot better than me i just gave a quick description.
Games that are classed as rpg's are:
Oblivion(elder scrolls series)
Mass Effect
Fable
Fallout and many other's.
JRPG'S are japanese role playing games like final fantasy. JRPG'S mainly used turn based combat while RPG's had live action like an adventure game or a shooter.
Games like Resistence that have minor RPG elements are not RPG'S there shooters with RPG elements.
