well dam, next year???? i was up walmart last nite looking for one. because the game i rented off of gamefly**stuntman* has a option for force feedback:?i really think it is better without rumble. shooters are just stupid with rumble. the only games that would be ok with rumble are car racing games. everything else just suffers from it.TheGodfather125
MGS2 the motion detector? That rumbled when enemies where near by and worked perfectly. Err.... last time I checked MGS wasn't a car racing game.
Am I the only one amongst many that doesn't think we need rumble back? I mean I coule honestly care less about rumble being in the controllers....in fact I forgot about it in whole since 11/17/06.MusashiSensiYep you must be in minority.Rumble gives you more of a feel of being in the game your playing, especially shooters+driving.
To be honest im not too fussed either way with rumble, but it does has its uses in certain games. If i had a choice between rumble and motion......i'd choose rumble every time. Motion is just a complete gimmick and belongs on a gimmick console like wii.
it depends on what game i am playing. for action, racing, FPS, and TPS... i do wish that i had rumble.
i feel that rumble actually does do something to enhance gameplay. for action, FPS, and TPS... it gives you another signal (along with a visual and audio signal) of when you get hit, and to what extent the damage was.
as for racers... it helps to give you a sense of the friction your tires have on the road.

Yeah kojima's "rumble guy" always did amazing things...I don't think mgs4 will be the same for me without rumble.
People are stupid if they want rumble. But ofcourse, it is understandable that they may need it to "enhance" their gaming experience. Like, why buy a dyldo when you could get one with a vibrator?
So yeah, only TRUE gamers need vibration. So they can really enjoy their games.
Given the choice I would chose rumble over the PS3 motion control 99% of the time. If I want to use motion control I'll play the Wii a far superior and more enjoyable motion sensing system, IMO.FoxHoundADAM
Fortunately, we don't have to choose though.
It's a blend of rumble and motion control (albeit...motion control that hasn't been completely refined yet)
