this i can beleve. a psp 2 in development is different that a psp2 coming out next year.

Yeah dude have a look back at the threads created by other users. In my opinion, Sony are way to stupid about releasing new PSP's. All they need now, is the PSP 2 with 2 dual analogs, that's all, no more screen improvements or nothing

No surprise on either really. Got to stop those with custom firmware which is one of the reasons I'm sure a -4000 series will come out no matter what. I'm just happy that it seems like the PSP is finally getting some traction. Tons of good stuff coming out in 09 for it. We need more games damnit!

Right back when they announced the 3000 series, I had a sneaking suspicion that Sony would be continually revising their handheld year after after, at least until its successor comes out, so this rumor definitely wouldn't be a stretch. For the time being, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy my 1001 series.
