Exclusive DOA game.. My guess, remake of DOA4 for PS3 like they did Ninja Gaiden. They could add a few more characters/levels and call it DOA5 aswell. Don't see why people care too much.. everyone in these forums say DOA sucks :PCellien

Most likely.  Team Ninja loves to push the best hardware.  seems a natural selection for something.  let us hope they're not talking about Volleyball. :?

Based on this post I just read on this subject:

I think you're making some pretty big assumptions there chief. All it said its that Team Ninja may be working on a DOA exclusive for PS3. It never said such an exclusive would be DOA5. As a matter of fact, Itagaki has said, and this is a direct quote:

"What everyone wants to play is DOA5, right? I'm going to be the one making DOA5 and when I do make it then it will be on the Xbox."

Now who should I believe? Your assumptions + an EGM rumors columnist, or Itagaki himself?

I think I'll take the wait and see approach.  The DoA franchise is one that includes XBVolleyball.  It could be a spin-off of the main franchise like that.  In fact, I'd assume that before assuming it's DoA5.

I liked the counter system and sceneries in DOA2, the lots of costumes and stages.

I tried DOA4 on 360 and the counter system was not efficient. I hope they do a DOA5 with simple and fun gameplay ... and on a Blu-ray they can add some DOA extreme fun too! 

the rumor isn't that DOA5 will be PS3 exclusive - just means a DOA themed PS3 exclusive is in development. I read the mag too ;)

could be anything from another DOAXtreme remix, to a remake of an older DOA, or who knows -- something totally new.. like DOA Texas Ranch!

In my opinion DoA has always been more of a button masher. I'd take Tekken anyday.makingmusic476

it's not a button-masher.  it's just more accessable.  you can't button-mash against the better players.  you'll get embarassed, just like in any good fighting game.  but for those who are clueless, you can button-mash and get some things done. 

yeah doa is more reversal based while tekken is combo based  i think

These are the same guys who claimed MGS4 is coming for the 360...we all see how that story is turning up. I wouldn't hold my breath.

People say alot of stuff when they are on the payroll for the other company. :) We will just have to wait and see if Sakaguchi is going retract that statement and release a ps3 game in the future.

Lol yeah. I love his comment about FF12, too bad for him that the game WAS good! If it wasn't for the story it might have been the best ff ever tbh.

Havent you figured this out? No matter how much a game sucks, if its an exclusive people will pretend to love it until the day they die

The kingdom hearts franchise are using characters (Sephiroth, cloud and others) that have been on games that only been released on the playstation consoles. 

It belongs more on PS consoles then any other. 

Hmm i hope its true i havent really played a DOA since DOA Hardcore for the PS2 i loved that game

Im all for any kind of fighting game coming to the PS3 since its one of my fav genres next to RPGs
