They're good at what they do but I personally wouldn't call them the best. I prefer Naughty Dog; but I also grew up playing all oftheir games so my opinion is a little biased.
Haven't played Infamous 2, but i found Infamous to be incredible repetitive, boring, and chore to play through the last few hours. I've never played a Sly game, but by all accounts it was just a "me-too" platformer. So "Best Game Company" I'd have to vote no
Bethesda, BioWare, Konami (namely Kojima), and Blizzard are the best imo. Insomniac and Square Enix are a close second. Namco Bandai are good when they put their minds to it too.

All that is repetitive is the side missions. Not else had any sense of repitition, and you cannot judge what you have not played.
Best out of all gaming companies? No, Nintendo wins that hands down. Best out of Sony gaming companies? Maybe, but Naughty Dog gives them a good fight. In my opinion, Jak>Sly and Uncharted>InFamous, though they are all stellar.
Haven't played Sly or Infamous 2 yet but judging from the first Infamous, yeah, they're pretty good but not that good. I feel like that title belongs to a company that makes stellar games and have made a significant impact on the industry and the way the games are made. And the first one that comes to my mind is Nintendo.

Bioware has made lots of amazing games. Baldur's Gate, Jade Empire, Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age: Orgigins, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, etc.
Not even close in my book, Naughty Dog bests them, even Santa Monica takes rank above them to me. Of course the standard great devs...Bioware, Bethesda, Valve also beat them. I guess I rank Sucker Punch as a good dev, though not really a great dev company.
I am going to respectfully disagree. I have stated many times that I think both inFAMOUS games are the best sony published games in existance, but I found the Sly trilogy to be extremely disapointing. The formula and concept was excellent but it was executed very porrly IMO. I think maybe my standards for Platformers have become too high (my favourite genre)

Ah I see the issue they haven't made a good game all gen imo.
I have only played Infamous by Sucker Punch, so I cannot say whether the studio is a top tier developer. I do not understand the love for Bioware or Valve. Valve was one of the first to use the modern FPS mechanic of keyboard and mouse, the developers have not done much since then. Portal is a cool concept, but it just uses things established from the first Half Life or Counterstrike. I remember having to shoot at the ground to give myself a boost so that I could reach new areas in the level. Portal is just an extension of this idea. Portal is cool, but it does not blow the doors off anything else. Bioware's Dragon Age runs like crap. There should not be loading screens in between gameplay and cutscene. The shooting in Mass Effect is not bad, but it is not really that satisfying.
