Lets hope so...I heard that Saints Row is one of the best games EVER. I heard that it blows GTA out of the box with its complex storyline, great characters, and above all...ORIGINALITY. Plus, the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. SR should be considered one of the best games EVER...up there with Mario2 and Tetris. (sarcasm is king)

It actually is better than GTA. That is one of the most overrated series ever. The best one was GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas were the worst games and got boring easily. Everyone was talkin about how San Andreas was gonna be good cause it finally had a black main character but in Saints Row you can create whatever you want, and change the entirety later on in the game. Face the facts..GTA isnt that good.

tide us over if you want something totide you over play something that is more orignal other than a piss poor version. I played saints row its not all that gt4 is a no comparsion only in that the game saints row is a big wannabe .

It isn't that good i'm not arguing that its the best series ever but please its following the footsteps of a game that has been there and done that . Its like comparing metallica (early days not now ) to spinal tap . Then saying its the same thing not really if you look hard enough .

Take it back GTA is wat better than any of its carbon copies.
If your one of those gamers that really obsess over 'open world' games, then Saints is for you. If your one of those gamers that hate playing a different version of the same game, then Saints is not for you. If you like Saints, then you probably also like Driver3, the Getaway, Yakuza, Simpson's Hit and Run, Crackdown, The Godfather, True Crime, Just Cause, and last but not least, Grand Theft Auto. How many times must we find the yellow dot on the map so that we can start shooting the same people until there all dead.
If GTA happens to be your pair of rose-colored glasses for the genre, then nothing is going to measure up. There's no doubt that Saints Row takes a lot from GTA. But it isn't the same game. It isn't better, but it is good enough on its own. The side missions add some fun variety, you get to build up cash that you can actually use to buy items. You can play online matches. And it isn't all that bad to look at.
If you are a fan of the genre, then get it. If you only like GTA, then what else could possibly compare?

i still hate it Yeah, I had it until I traded in my 360. Other than prettier explosions, it's no where near as good as GTA. Gotta have planes and choppers. Vice City is still my absolute favorite game mainly due to the atmosphere and music. It was perfect. Although it's good that we are getting games from the 360, this isn't that big. It may tide some of us over until GTA4 though.

I wanted Saints Row to be better....I really did because I know that GTA4 won't come out until November. But, it wasn't. But it did look pretty, I'll give you that.
This game was plenty of fun. I've play GTA games and they are no better. I actually thought the dialog and story were a lot more entertaining then GTA. But fanboys will be fanboys. They pick a horse(console or game series) and call everything else crap....

When I read the news like a MONTH ago my first reaction was: Uhh?? Why would anyone care???
GTA vice city blows it out of the water already...
Well I didn't play it enough to say it is better then SA (SA sucked -_- o you say otherwise? = noob)
But trust me.. GTA4 will be better and will make fun of it like they always do with clones ^.^
