Im looking at the 8Gb memory card, but I dont know which one to get as the Sandisk is 18.99 quid and the Sony is 34.99 quid. Is there any major difference between the two? Eg. Transfer rate. Thanks for any help.

There is absoulutly no difference in transfer rate, only if it is named 'high speed' memory stick like my Sony one is. Personally, I would buy sony, the sandisk must be cheaper for a reason, where are u getting these from anyway ?

they are both good, its just sony is a little more expensive, I have the 8 gb sony memory stick, but I made the mistake by ordering it from ebay for cheap, and the stupid thing does not work, I can transfer all my stuff to it, but it ALL shows up as unreadable or corrucpted, so it was a waste.. I just have just waited and got it when it hit stored in the US

I got a Sandisk 4 gb. It is recognized in the PSP menu and works with most of my games. However, my US version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 doesn't detect the stick. I have yet to figure out whether I can save manually nonetheless.

Don't pay extra just for the Sony brand name. Definitely go with Sandisk. Like someone else posted earlier there are statistics on the net that prove it's just as good if not better.

Sandisk because it has faster processing speeds, but slightly smaller storage than Sony's.

I buy and sell on Ebay daily, with my number one sales category being PSP games and accessories, and my rating is still 100%. Buy from ebay, just check their feedback and make sure they are a legitimate seller. Besides, Ebay offers so much buyers insurance and protection now anyways.

They are both the same if you crack them open. jut don't purchase from ebay, make sure it's a trusted website if you are buying online.

Why does everything Sony have to be more expensive? Go for the Sandisk. Damn, my Sandisk 8GB cost around 80.

You can't go wrong with either one. Just buy the one that's on sale.
