If they release a game worth buying then I will buy it, like the upcoming Dead Space. Most of the other games they release are based off of movies or recycled sports/racing games, which are insanely popular for some reason, so its not as if boycotting them will matter.

I think EA is slacking in most of their sports games as well. 2k has taken a huge jump ahead of them in my opinion. I wish madden didnt have exclusive to the NFL because maybe then we would see some competition.

I must have said this at least 100 times. EA will be the ruination of modern gaming. Do not buy EA games, and certainly do not support their hostile takeover of Take Two publishers. Look what they did to Madden, now imagine if they get their hands on GTA. They are by far the worst software company with Ubisoft nipping at their heels.

Once again, they've scored some massive in-game ad campaign. Sure it makes the games look more realistic when you race around a track and see a Pepsi sign or fight in a ring and see a Burger King logo but what the hell is EA doing with all this cash? They certainly aren't passing the savings onto their customers. If they get such a kick back from these ads, they could at least discount their games by $5 or $10... I mean come on. EA is cleaning up and screwing over the fans in the process.

Sorry Goose, I'm not understanding this rant. I mean, ok, if you want to hate EA for this that's fine, but just be sure and hate every major league and minor league sport (as every stadium, arena, fieldhouse, rink, etc has advertisiments in them, and prices keep going UP), most modern movies (many of which had product placement, and ticket prices still go up) and most TV shows (again with the product placement)

All I'm saying is: There may be plenty of reasons to hate EA, but just be sure and hate them for legit reasons...

people seem to forget all the other advertising that's out there that they just look right past. for example, pay attention to the TV shows you watch. when someones opens the fridge, see if the labels are all lined up and facing out for your favorite beverages.

So!?? LOL! Okay, point taken. Just not sure how they can justify the cost of THEIR games when they get so much money from the ads where other games aren't so fotunate. But yeah, you've gotta point. I'm a Baltimore Ravens season ticket holder and I'm all too aware of the cost and they money made in that business.

There are those who say that the money EA is getting from ads is what is making it profitable for them to make games, but I don't buy that reasoning. Lots of other companies are making profits and their games aren't as jammed full of ads. I am not opposed to ads in games, the ones in the latest Burnout (for example) fit in well. However I am opposed to the idea that we as gamers should be subjected to ads without getting any benefit in return. IF EA wants to come out and say that the ads are financing new DLC or providing for the servers for online games that would be a good start. But I really do think that money is going straight in to their profit margins.

EA blows. It's the same crap every year, just milking sports games year after year to follow real sports, and their graphics ability suck outright. They should work on their games and release every 2-4 years with good/new gameplay and up to snuff graphics.

Yeah, having the option to have the King from Burger King be my manager was just the ultimate insult. Plus I didn't feel the need to see him come out into the ring. That was just sad and cheesy.

EA sports games are crap. I stopped buying Madden years ago. My last copy was Madden 2002 for the PS2. It was then that I realized it was pointless in buying their sports games. I set myself to only buying a new Madden game every 5+ years. Every year it is the same game as the year before. Only with slightly better graphics and a updated roster with stats. I will buy the next madden if it is good, then wait another 5+ years before getting another one.
