Sega Dreamcast Collection is Official!!

It's funny because I just gotten a Dreamcast for free lol :P but here it is

SEGA has revealed it plans on dipping in to its clown-sized, retro-filled pockets again in the near future with confirmation of the long-rumored Dreamcast Collection.

The bundle was previously outed on U.S. retail behemoth GameStop's official website, which pencilled the retro goodie bag in for release on February 15, 2011. Still, while SEGA's yet to stamp an official date on the collection, marketing boss Alan Pritchard has promised it'll be out "soon."

"The Dreamcast fans are very devoted. You see on eBay people are still buying the games and system," said Pritchard, during an interview withGame Informer. "We actually have a Dreamcast collection coming out soon. We are looking to bring some of the old Dreamcast games to market digitally and packaged.

"The titles are still to be announced. The Ultimate Genesis Collection did huge numbers on PS3 and 360, so it's an important part of our business. We've already been releasing some Dreamcast games digitally; Crazy Taxi [for one]."

All right! This could be my chance to play Skies of Arcadia finally. By the time I was in to RPGs it was already out on the GameCube but didn't feel like spending 20 some bucks for it at Game Stop. Now it's just hard to find at any store. It'll [probably be nice and cheap on PSN if it comes out and totally worth the price.

That is amazing! I still have my Dreamcast and most of the popular titles but there still some I am missing. I would love to see Skies of Arcadia and Power Stone 2 on there, both of those games i for some reason never got for my DC.

I doubt Power Stone would be on the collection since Capcom own it and it's going to be the Dreamcast games which Sega actually own.

Not too many games I remember very fondly.

meh id rather play the real thing with the original controller graphics and music... the vga looks awesome on my hdtv.

If those games are straight ports, than I'm not getting it. I have 2 Dreamcasts (1 is brand new for backup) and all the games that I want for the system, unless they offer better graphics and trophies, but like I said, if they're just ports, I'll pass.

I hope an HD option or something is available.

I got Sonic Adventure not too long ago, it's alright.

As long as it has Jet Grind Radio I'll get it.

I regret that I've never owned or played a Dreamcast, ever. So this will be a day one buy, providing the disc cost isn't rediculous.

I never owned a Dreamcast, I would just play it at my friends. I could only remember two things about it.

1. It had a gawd-awful controller. It was like a brick with buttons.

2. It had a plethora of fighting games to attempt to play with said heinous controller. Fond memories of Soul Calibur and SF Alpha 3 on there

Nice, if supported well maybe Sega get the message and listen to fans to revive one or two titles to current consoles. I want Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue.

Edit: It was called 'Nights into Dreams...' and it was on the Sega Saturn. Guess I won't be seeing that one.

Good thing, DC has some fantastic games ^^ But the collection needs to offer something for me to get, either games I don't have already or some additional stuff (full HD, 3D, plats)
