Just read that VF5 for 360 will have ONLINE, which pretty much means Sega shafted us PS3 users. Who here thinks that Sega owes us PS3 users a VF5 Online Patch?
Honestly I use to believe in Sega, I really bought the idea that lag was the reason VF5 didn't have online, but now they announce 360 online. Thats just unethical business practise, why didn't they just say the truth the first time around and just say that VF5 for PS3 doesn't have online because Sega does not want to pay for the online maintenance costs. Really lying to customers about lag issues and then making an online version for the 360 is so wrong on so many levels.
I already swore never to spend money on another Sega game again, there are other ways to playing Sega games then paying for them and Sega has just given me a reason to rip them off.
Sega lost a lifetime customer. All well at least I feel better about ripping them off now.

They should, but I don't think they will. Virtua Tennis 3 should have had online, nothing from Sega so far.
Sega is probably the worst company in the biz. I mean their consoles sucked after the Genesis (Sega CD, 32x, Saturn,...), they managed to drive Sonic into the ground and most of their games are mediocre.

Online gaming is a bigger selling point for 360 owners, and the infrastructure of XBL makes it no cost to support. They just hand it over to MS....and don't have to pay anything to support it. The PS3's fanbase isn't big enough to make them host the servers and stuff. I can see why Sega did this.

Its the lying that gets me. They could have just come out and said look PS3 makes us pay for online support and we have no overhead for such costs, thus there will be no online on PS3. How hard is it to just tell the truth, but to lie about lag issues and than make it on 360. There is something wrong with a Company when they believe lying to there fans is good business practise. In the modern age your fans are your biggest source of income cause lets face it if people want they can always figure out ways to get games through other less legit means. Without fan support, you're doomed.
I think Sega lied to there fans and thats unforgivable. You can't do online because of cost overheads fine, tell us and we can understand. But to lie so that fans have to buy two versions of the same game just to play online is wrong. All I know is I will never pay to play another Sega game again, but I will still enjoy them just as much if not more.

First, VT3 was made by two different developing team (AM2 did PS3 Version) . VF5 is made by AM2 who stated it was "impossible" to make the online experience enjoyable, and thats why the ps3 version didn't get it.
Suddenly they do a 360 turn (pun intended) and they release a version with online.

Armored COre 4 is online so Sega can run servers, they just don't want to for reasons having to do with Japanese Arcade revenue.

they are patching tekken 5 DR with an online patch y cant VF5 do it too?, on the subject though its very dirty what sega has done first full auto 2 and now this, they have basically just point blank stated ps3 online is not as good by doing something crappy. and i am not saying that is true but thats how it can be percieved now, i would totally blackball sega games from now on just for this reason to show that the PS family wont tolerate backstabbing of this nature

no one said its not hard to make games, but its the princibalaties of the situation here, they said one things and basically went back on their statement and added to another console what they said was not possible to do. so now ps3 fans paid 60$ for a now incomplete game compared to what the xbox is going to get. Man i dont even like he game honestly but i just hate things like this, its just bad bussiness and to do this to the consumer that really pays your bils is crazy. if they would have just came out and said PSN is not at the level to provide what xbox live is therefore it will only be online or xbx than at least they were honest, nw its like they just greedy and that the bottom line. It's the principal of lying to customers that believe in you. At the end of the day thos fans will stay with you through thick and thin. All those times that Sega nearly went bankrupt it's the fans that continued to buy there product. People like me who always believed that Sega was an honest company and deserved every penny they earned. Thats all gone, they are now just a money hungry corp and worse a lying money hungry corp.
