Bayonetta and End of Eternity are the only games I'm interested in. I could care less about the rest, especially Valkyria Chronicles 2, and Yakuza 4.

You're right. He's only missing out on the best PS3 game available. Not worth it.

That's debatable. I LOVE JRPG', but I hated Valkyria Chronicles.

Valkyria Chronicles isn't a JRPG though. It's a SRPG that just happened to be developed by Japanese people. Maybe that's why didn't like it.
I love it and think it's a ton better than any game I've played on the PS3. I understand not all people care for it though. I just get pissed when people call it garbage and stupid because of the anime graphics(not directed toward you at all). I know they just say those things to get the people who care for it all riled up.

Yeah I understand. The game looks amazing, but I just didn't care for the storybook progression, and lack of exploration. I even enjoyed the battle system, but it's these critical points that ruined the experience for me.

Well, it certainly gives you a lot more freedom than most SRPGs. When I think of a SRPG I imagine a field map suspended in sup-space with grids and very little movement. Of course that's not every SRPG, but that seems to be the common points. I just thought VC gave you more control during the gameplay. I don't think exploration is a main focal point in SRPGs. I guess in Disgaea there's a ton of content that could be considered exploring, but when I think of exploring I imagine huge maps with nooks and crannies that house special items or rare bosses. Something like that.
As for the storybook, I thought it was great. I know people complain about the lack of excitement during cutscenes and just having two characters face each other and talk, but what else were they supposed to do? Make an elaborate cutscene for every one? I mean I guess they could lump all the cutscenes into one portion so you don't have to go through 2-3 of them at a time. Just have the one long important cutscene and then the 1-2 optional fun ones off to the side. I'm not trying to convince you, I'm only defending the game on my front.
