I am very seriously considering selling my iPod (which I hope I can get ~$80), for a PSP (hopefully buying for ~$30) and a memory card, games, etc. Is it worth the trade? Also feel free to bring up your experiences about PSPs and iPods.

EDIT: Do you suggest I sell my GBASP and games as the PSP can emulate those?

It's worth it, especially if you get one of the larger memory sticks. Then you can hold a lot a of music, as well as games.

Lol this is funny becauseI bought a 30 gb ipod last year around christmas time for $80 from my uncle and ended up trading it for a PSP 2000, some games (God of War, Naruto Ninja Heroes, Transformers, Need for Speed Carbon, Smackdown vs Raw 2007, and a few others) and a 2 gb memory stick. Though I did have to trade my favorite skullcandy headphones with the ipod *tear*but now my headphone jack for my psp is broken anyways so its not like I'd use them too much. All in all I feel its worth it. I used my ipod a lot but my psp brought me back into gaming.

I don't own a PSP, but I would say it's worth it, as long as you don't plan on storing like 10,000 songs on your PSP :P

Worth it if you like gaming more then music. And you can store music on PSP.. if you have a large memorystick.

Back in the day I had both, the PSP wasn't portable enough for it to be my main mp3 player. However with the extra portability of the PSPgo I may replace my iPod if there is a new music player is included on the Go. I'd say the iPod is way better for music alone.

Edit: I may be bias towards the iPod because I love music and am picky about the presentation through music players. If you are not as picky as me the a PSP should do fine if you have the pocket space.

You might as well... Media Go is darn-near iTunes anyway, with a slightly different skin... but it functions exactly the same. I personally have both, because I find the use of a PSP a tad too cumbersome when I'm out walking or something (iPod fits in a shirt pocket better), but if it's an either/ or situation and you're a game fiend (like US ), then go for it!

Thank you everyone. I have decided that if I can, I will sell my iPod for a PSP w/ games, memory card, etc. Do you suggest I sell my GBASP and games as the PSP can emulate those?Phazon-King

Get rid of your Ipod! The PSP is better, Everysong you download on Itunes works fine on your PSP, plus you cant play GTA on your ipod, or go on the internet with your ipod. Get rid of that thing!

Totally worth it. Just get a good memory stick and it can hold a lot of songs.
