I just bought my ps3 last week at a local best buy and i have a month to decide if i want to pay 100 bucks for a 3 or 4 year service plan.  I am sure many of you are aware of how these work.

Good investment? opinions please

i guess buy it, wont hurt and you wont regret it. the systems arent crapping out like 360 is but i would buy it anyways, 4 years is a pretty good deal that should last you almost until ps4 lol

Normally, I would say no. But since you already put out $600 to purchase the machine, another $100 to guarantee it for the next 3-4 years probably isn't such a bad idea. It's up to you though. I haven't had any problems with my PS3 at all. If you've experienced hardware failure in the past (or you feel uneasy about leaving your $600 console uninsured), then you should go ahead with it. My personal choice? I decided to forego it. Couldn't scratch up enough dough. ;)
