Do you have cable internet at your house? Are you in a dorm? You need to have internet service, they will provide the modem. You connect the router to the modem and set up your wireless network from there. You can then connect your laptop and your PS3 to your wireless network. (I would return the router though and go with Linksys. I had a horrible experience with Netgear.

I'm not quite sure how the air cards work but I know you can configure the wireless on your laptop to act as an access point for other devices to connect to. I would try messing with the settings. You need to set up your wireless card on your laptop to broadcast as an ad hoc network. Then somehow link your air card to broadcast on the ad hoc network. Then connect your PS3 to the ad hoc network. I can't help much more than that. I would try googling it. I tried to find some stuff but without working on the actual computer I won't be much help...sorry and best of luck
