"The PS3 is all about connectivity"....well thats according to the official Sony PS3 website.

so how come its so difficult for me to set up a shared folder (or whatever) on my PC that my PS3 can see.?

I have no probs with my connection to my router and the internet etc. any tutorials that let me play my files over the network from my PC. ?

cheers

Go and download TVersity on your computer. It allows your PS3 to stream files on your PC. All you have to do is:

1. Download the software. Go google it.

2. Install it.

3. Enable file sharing.

4. Turn on your PS3.

5. Add the files or folder's you'd like your PS3 to stream into the software.

6. Have fun.

most likely you dont have File Sharing turned on. Go into the options in Windows Media Player and turn on file sharing. That might be the problem.

Everyone I know of has some issues sharing with Media Player 11. TVersity is the program that has the least problems with file sharing and the ps3 that I know of. Follow what Lucky said.
