i recommed u get your friends to get it and pay them. you should as all controllers seem to be made in some foriegn country anyway. it's worth it, have a shot. No i do not recommend u buy it yourself (because your new to this thing), the sign with buy it now means buy it instantly for the listed price, while the other one without it, means its a starting bid "auction" for the product, meaning it will take a while to end and you might be out-bidded.

Look through the listings for the Dual Shock 3 and check the shipping fees- you'll find some of them are doing a good bit of gouging on there to boost their profit. eBay is reliable, you just need to use a bit of common sense (use sellers with good feedback, watch the shipping fees, etc.).

The Buy It Now is just that- if you really want it you can buy it for the price marked (plus shipping). The blank below is for placing a bid in an atempt to get it at a slightly lower price- you put an amount there that is the absolute most you would be willing to pay and the system will automatically put bids in for you as needed until your limit is reached. Let's say you would go for £ 35 at most- that is the number you would put in. If no one else bid at that time the current bid would be held at £ 29.99. If someone tried bidding £ 32 it would hike your bid up to £ 32.50 to outbid that person.
