Should I Buy A PS3??

Well...I have some money to spend. I currently have a 360 and a fairly decent PC, so what am I missing if I don't pick up a PS3?

I am sort of a technolgy whore, i always buy the latest and greatest stuff especially in gaming, i just bought a ps3 on saturday as there games coming this fall and 08 i really want to play, so i bought the ps3 now so i could spend my money on 360,ps3 and pc games this fall as theres allot of great games coming.

For me the mgs4 demo was what made me go "oh snap i must buy a ps3" but also games like heavenly sword and uncharted helped justify the purchase.

Also i already own a HD-TV and thought about getting a blu-ray player so it made perfect sense to buy the ps3.

I also own a 360 but id say to enjoy the best of gaming this generation you are going to need both 360 and ps3.

Both consoles have there +/- but in my opinion the + far out weigh the -.

My personal opinion so far is the 360 is the better console as i have more games i prefer the 360 interface ove the xmb and i like the 360 controller better than the sixaxis, and theres more games coming this fall that i prefer for 360.

But i think the ps3 is the best piece of hardware between the two, it looks smarter,has a blu-ray player and is allot more reliable and ps3 has the best 08 games in my opinion, so this time next year ps3 could be my prefered system.

Im very pleased i own them both and i think any gamer would be too, both systems have great unique features and exclusive games.

Just my opinion of my systems i have a top-end pc also but i rarely play pc gaming ther than football manager.

If you don't get a PS3 now. You should definitly get one early next year for MGS 4, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, GT5, Infamous.

Only reason you would want to get PS3 right now is because after 60 gig version runs out, the new PS3 won't have emotion engine in it.

That means less backwards compatibility.

If that doesn't bother you, then I suggest you to wait.

Sony has been updating it with EE, not sure what you mean. We already have improved PS1 and PS2 graphic thanks to new patches.

Don't buy aPS3 if you own a 360. All specs and titles are pretty similar,and you'll only miss out on the odd title here with one console. Not many peopleown a 360 ANDa PS3.I'd say you've made yourchoice.Buy a WII if you really want a second console.

the avalanche of games is coming this fall

PS3 has alot of Potential,I own one.I personaly think its a wonderfull system.Seems like theres a lack on one thing,Games.Since you already have a Xbox360 you can stay with that for a while and buy a PS3 later,Best game out on PS3 is Resistance Fall Of Man ( the only game i play on my PS3 ) and its a good game,but one game cant make a system superior.Just wait for a price drop,Or for some new Triple A games tocome out.

Eh why do i participate in such a thread... none the less.

The ps3 is an amazing piece of hardware. Everything that you think the price should supply is there and more some. The best part is the developers of it are constantly making improvements. For instance I can stream vids from my pc thru my ps3 to my psp, and everything in between.

The games coming out are good, and the community is pretty positive despite the constant 360 fan boy onslaught. Free psn network and home coming out promise an even greater community.

If you are completely game variety dependant i'd say wait till christmas or get it now to get used it before hand.
