Should I buy a PS3!?!?!

Is this a good time too buy a PS3, or is the Xbox 720, and PS4 to close to waste money on a PS3. I dont whant to buy a PS3 and only in 2011 one year later to have to buy a PS4, is it to late to buy a ps4 is what I;m saying, or should I wait?

yes, get a ps3. Its not too late...if at all. I think theres a still some years before the next gen console is released

wait until the ps5, ps3 is due to expire late next year and its already been confirmed that the ps4 and xbox 720will have a shelf life of only 2 years, id just buy a ps1 or a sega mega drive for now

Here's the way I break it down:

--If you have an hd set, you are also buying a future proof blu-ray player.

--The library isn't as enormous as it could be, but the quality is very good. It somewhat reminds me of the N64.

----Uncharted 1&2. Killzone series. Resistance series. GTA5. Demon Souls. Motorstorm. Valkyria Chronicles. Little Big Planet. Metal Gear Solid 4. Street Fighter 4. Fight Night Round 4. I'm sure there are others, and some that I've listed that other people would not, but part of my point is that if you are buying a ps3 now, quite a few of the really good games are bargain priced, so it isn't going to cost you a fortune to build up a library. Also remember that Sony is releasing the Move controller, so I wouldn't be worried about a ps4 announcement.

I don't play games too often actually, and I'm not upset at buying one in the slightest.

The question is why havn't you bought a ps3?

The next gen of consoles arent' going to be out for a long time. So just get yourself a PS3 and stop missing out on all these amazing games.

It depends on where you live. If you live in the EU, more specifically the UK, I can give you great tips with regard to saving money on video games and the like.

Buy a ps3! They are cheaper now and most importantly now have some really great games to buy with it!

Heavy Rain, FF13, God Of War3, MLB The Show 2010, Resistance2, Uncharted2 and MGS4.

My guess is we wont see next gen consoles until OCt - Dec of 2012, so around 2 1/2 years from now. I would buy one. The ps3 is a great machine and most importantly has some great games. A couple of them being ranked up there with my favorite games of all time, and many others being fantastic.

Amazon. although it looks as though they recently raised the price a bit due to lack of PS3's I am guessing.

Well right now anyway, I think its just because of the shortage. For games though, I love amazon.

I haven't used Amazon for games in a while. I just go with whichever offer my price comparison websites point me to. :P

The question is why havn't you bought a ps3?

Sony said in a very recent interview that the PS3 is only about 30% through its life span. No, I can't link it for you, you can google as well as I can :P

In any case, PS3 still has a good 4+ years ahead of it, as its technology is still very current.

Look in odd places to buy a PS3. Check Sears or some other place that isn't the most popular.
