Should I buy a PS3? All Input needed/

So so heres the deal. Im an xbox fan even tho the 360 has many problems with it. I use to have the first playstation but then a played halo and loved it. got xbox late and i just bought 360 last year. So with the new ps3 out and for so cheap i was wondering if i should get one.

I was thinking Yes because it has different games (I could see myself loving rachet and clank and god of war 3) and the gaphics are crazy on the ps3but then also thinking no because this generation system is most llikely about to end and i have many 360 titles that i could still play and having both might just be a waste. (esp since ive only had 360 for a year)

I dont play that much but i do love gaming and it being a blu-ray player doesnt make a differance cause i already have a blu ray player. It would just be an extra one that I can but in the bed room if anything.

So help me out alittle with what you think, with only a possible two years left on this system. I just dont know much about the ps3. Any input would help out.

Playstation 3 will not be gone by 2012, so don't worry. I know a lot of people will say thats as long as it will last, but Sony will most likely support it still. GET IT, Just get IT

There still making ps2 games, the ps3 is going away anytime soon

Its definitely worth the buy, many great games for it and plenty of great titles to come in the future. Also why not have the best of both worlds right?

I think Sony said that they wanted a lifespan of 10 years for the PS3 so it will certainly not be over soon. So I would say just buy one if you rly want it, it has some nice exclusives and the graphics are indeed massive. But its still you descision :P I, atleast, enjoy my PS3 alot,never had any regrets of buying it.

But it would be nice to have a chill online community. never knew it had an internet browser which gets me thinking. any thing else i should know before i make my choose like any certain games i should look into, and does the graphics look better for every game or just ps3 only titles. and does ps3 online just like xbox where u buy a year or so then have extra content to buy?

Nope, sony will support the ps3 for 10 years. They stick with there consoles for a long time. ;) The online is completaly FREE! No payment at all. Unless you buy something from PS store. The graphics for games such as call of duty4, midnight club la- thats on both systems are pretty much the same. Not much diffrence in games that are on both systems. As for the ps3 exclusives, the graphics and gameplay are amazing! You have got to experiance at least killzone 2 or metal ger solid 4. So ya, hope that answers your questions!

Wow 10years that would make it lasting to the end of 2016. pretty good escpecially since im planning on getting my own place roommate free by next fall. The ps3 only titles always hooked me some how. So looks llike imma hunt down everyone that said 10 years if ps3 doesnt atleast last till the end of 2015. Reasonible right? lol. Altho I feel i might want to wait till summer to get it. A little price change and u never know what will happen then. Plus by then I will be getting a 50+ LED tv which would probably be f-ing amazing with ps3

Well its not quite the cheepest blu-ray player around but it is the best deal. Blu-ray players for around $100 have bad play back and my friend got a cheap one for his room and he said it scratches his discs. Don't know how true that is for all of the lower end ones. Like i said though best deal b/c its a blu-ray player for 300 that also plays games that are awesome. Like uncharted infamous killzone resistance and soon God of War 3.

Yes, keep all your consoles and get a PS3, make it a Slim while you're at it. I already have all three consoles but I'm planning to get a Slim this holiday and give my PS3 to my brother.
