Should I buy a ps3? I have the money.

Should I buy a PS3 or shoul.d I wait for the price to drop? Also im wondering what are the most hyped games coming out. I dont really like JRPG's ether so no final fantasy. Thanks.

Resistence,motorstorm,Oblivion,Darkness, DRAKESFORTUNE, Lair, heavenlysword (those last three games have been said would not beable to play on 360 as of now) MGs4,Ratchetandclank, HAZE etc etc lots of great games coming out

just be aware that there is a drought of games right now but seeing as how you will barely be getting it you should be able to enjoy Resistance and Motorstorm for the time being until August

As of right now, the best games are Resistance, Oblivion and Motorstorm. The sports games are fun, and so is Virtua Fighter, but the big reasons for owning a PS3 are Home, free online play, and the upcoming exclusive titles. To list them off:

That list looks pretty impressive, and there are bound to be more original IPs announced along the way. I'm just waiting for the announcement of a new PS3 Twisted Metal.

Get it, I got mine after having my 360 a while and I like it so much that i ended up dropping the 360 all together and the ps3 is now my main console.

awesome id u got a HDtv i highly suggest a Ps3 ;) i got a 360 also While it a great system its broken twice now and is Overrated imo The Libary isnt that much better than ps3 there both great systems:)

but ps3 is my main system especally with all the great games coming out which suit my playstyle much better

I would say wait because no really good games are coming out soon. The only games they have right now worth getting is Resistance and Oblivion. Although Oblivion would take you awhile to beat and have a lastly appeal, resistance might get old after you beat the game. I would say wait until september or october when all the great games are really availble.

Plus, how did the 360's gaming library sneak into this post anyways? They gaming library is far better than the ps3's right now.

As someone else who has yet to purchase a PS3, I'd say the time is right to purchase one... We won't see a price drop for at least 10-12 months (most likely) and we're getting very close to the start of that infusion of quality games we've all been waiting for. The ONLY think preventing me from buying one is my lack of an HDTV. If I had one, or my family had one, I'd have picked up a PS3 a month ago. I know it's plenty fun on SDTV as well, but I really just want to play the thing on a HDTV from the get-go. I'm just waiting for the right brand/unit/price combo...

A note on the PS3... I'm a little more preoccupied with waiting for the PS3 to be packaged with a rumbl-enabled controller, which is sure to happen before an possible price drop.

I went the route of a new gaming PC instead of a PS3. But now that I've seen my great new monitor in action (with HDCP-compliant DVI ports! Woo), I really want a PS3 to go along with it.

Now is a great time to buy one considering there's no price drop on the horizon. In fact, wait until Intel's quad-core processors get a price drop and get a new gaming PC and a PS3. :P

I just say wait until september or october and get it then, whether there's a price drop or not, at least by then there should be a larger choose of great games for the PS3. I also have a 360 with a ps3 and a Wii, and I'm puzzled at the fact you say the 360 library of games is "NOT MUCH BETTER THAN THE PS3". You can't be serious. 360 nearly triples the ps3 in availble games and have way more AAA games than the ps3. Other than maybe 3 games, the ps3's library has been subpar at best while the 360 have a hugh selection of great games, plus they have games out that people with the ps3 are sitting back and drooling over like Graw2 and R6V. So you statement is way off base compare the gaming library of the 2 systems, so next time maybe you shouldn't bring up the 360 when the guy was just asking whether he should by the PS3 now or lata.
