Should I buy a ps3 with the ps4 only months away, just for Last of US?

Okay, I stupidly sold my ps3 about 3 months ago forgetting that this game was comming out. After seeing the awesome game play and reviews I really want to play Last of US.  I only have a 360 and about 8 games for it and was considering trading it to help with the price of a ps3.  But with the ps4 coming out in a few short months i am thinking that money would be better used on buying the new system.  Just need a few opinions..... what do you guys think I should do?

borrow a friend or family members ps3 for a few days in the middle of week and play the hell outta the game 24 hrs straight lol

Ps4 is still 5-6 months away.

If i were you I would buy a ps3 anyways, if you have the money.

I wouldn't. Borrow a console if you can, or wait a year or two when it'l be available through Gakai. 

My guess is that they will release a PS4 version. If not wait for a major price drop or discount for the PS3 when the PS4 is released.Lord_of_Terrans

I would try and borrow a console. Last of Us should be great, but not that great.

They might have it available for streaming on the PS4, or they might make a PS4 version. I currently share a PS3 with my brother and have been thinking of getting my own PS3, I don't know if i should though. lol

Buy used PS3 and copy of game from Gamestop. Beat it, return both within 7 days. Now you can use your money for the PS4. Ghost_702

just for 1 game? no. imo that would be a stupid decision, u already have a 360 and ps4 is right around the corner. not saying the last of us is a bad game or anything, but it was just as i expected, one of the most overhyped/overrated games to come out recently. i think ppl are just getting desperate for exclusives or something to look forward to.

Even though The Last of Us is absolutely amazing, I still would not buy a PS3 just to play that game. But throw in MGS4, Killzone 3, Heavy Rain, and Uncharted 2/3, and then you have the perfect excuse to buy one ;)

do you still possess a library of ps3 games? i dont know if i would buy a console just for one game (i havnt played TLOU). there are lots of good games coming out for the ps3 this year and next, e.g. metal gear solid legacy collection, gta 5, disgaea d2, dark souls 2, just to name but a few. it also depends on the your budget. personally i would buy a ps3 and keep it to play these games.

Get PS3, TLOU and PS+. You'll get more than your money's worth. If getting a PS4 at launch is a priority, then I'd say just get that. But most of the games on PS4 are also coming to PS3/360, so you can play them all on PS3 as well. I'm waiting a few months before buying a PS4 simply because there are so many awesome games coming to PS3 this year. TLOU, Rain, Beyond and GT6.mstrchf12

I say no.  TLOU is great and one of the best games on PS3, but buying a console for only one game is dumb.

I'm sure there will be an ultra HD remake for the ps4 lol (well not really sure but maybe). I would trade in the 360 now if your not useing it and hold on to the money for the ps4. If you wait you will only get less money.

It's a hard decision to make, just for one game? That really depends on your financial situation or if you can find the PS3 for under 200$. I'd suggest you do pick it up, there are more games you will discover that you wish to play. :)
