So, I started working at night, and I don't do **** at work. Time doesn't seem to pass, so, do you think a PSP would help me pass the time? Is it a good investment? And if so, wich games are best? I'm a Harvest Moon fan, but for what I have seen, the Innocent Life isn't that good, judging from the reviews, if there's an Harvest Moon fan here, is the game any good?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm thinking about buying it today. Thanks in advance.

PSP passes the time, and is a worthy investment especially considering the recent price drops, and essentially your buying an multimedia viewer becuase of all the PSP features (which i won't bother listing) and with the firmware updates the PSP keeps getting better (technically). I'll assume you over 18 because your doing a night shift, so for that reason i recommend any GTA game. ;)

Yeah, I was thinking about GTA. The scenery of Vice City Stories is more appealing to me, and the quality of Liberty City Stories doesn't better than VC, right? And if I might ask, is there any good RPGs for PSP?

About the features, I've already searched for it, and it all indicates that it is, in fact, a pretty nice machine. I'm thinking that the firmware updates aren't a pain in the ass, am I right?

I'm a Harvest Moon fan myself. One reason I got the PSP was because they're going to be porting my favorite version of the game to to the PSP (HM: BTN). I think it's suppose to be coming out next month. Hopefully. Innocent life isn't that bad (I bought it.) but it definitely doesn't live up to other Harvest Moons.

There's Harvest Moon for the DS (if you're looking at the DS as an option), which is a good game if you can survive the glitches. And the GBA HM games play on it as well. Rune Factory, which is a fantasy version of the game, should be coming out anywhere from the beginning of July till sometime in mid-August. I read somewhere that they're also planning on translating HM DS for Girl as well. And then they're supposed to be coming out with yet another Harvest Moon, which has something to do with an island that grows with you.

I recently bought Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, which is a good RPG for the PSP. It's a port from a PS1 game, so the graphics are a bit dated (aside from the new CG cutscenes.), but the sprites are still beautifully animated and the story is good. You have to do a lot watching the game though, but I personally didn't mind because I like that sort of thing. I haven't really tried any other RPGs yet, though I'm looking for them.

Riviera: The Promised Land is another port (from the GBA)that's coming to the PSP that's going to be released...next week? It's suppose to be a really good game. I'm planning on getting it at some point.

I don't consider firmware updates a pain in the ass, because i only choose to update when a feature i like is available.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't really thinking about the DS, even though I'm a huge Nintendo fan, the PSP has a lot more features, and therefore, a more worthy investment. Playing games can get boring to, and that's why the DS loses to PSP.

Oh, and.. does anyone here have Metal Gear Portable Ops? I'm a Metal Gear fan, and it seems quite good. Would like to hear some opinions.

There's many metal gear in psp. PSP is for you.

There's also harvest moon on DS, but its your choice if what you want.

Trust me, the DS in no way loses to the PSP aside from inferior graphics. I like the PSP, but the DS I would have to say is a far better investment. Its $40 cheaper and offers as much if not more fun with the games it offers. It really all comes down to what you want to play cause they both offer different games.

The DS has Castlevania, Pokemon, Metroid Prime, Mariokart, Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy and Animal Crossing. PSP has MEtal Gear, Lumines, SOCOM, Tekken, Street Fighter, Valkyrie Profile, Prince of Persia to name out a few.

In terms of games, I don't care about graphics. I only think PSP is better due to the other features. Playing MP3, MPEG, etc. It's not only about games. Honestly, I prefer Nintendo games, but yeah... well, you got me confused. xD

There's no boss around there. So, no worries.

DS is just as good as the PSP. I have both systems. DS has a lot of goodgames coming out soon such as Megaman Starforce, Heroes of Mana, FFCC: Ring of Fate and many more. PSP is the same but it can play music/videos and etc. But I personally think the DS has better RPGS and the PSP has better shooters/racing/action platformers and etc.

Yup yup yup.

If you want games+multimedia, get psp. But if you already have an iPod. Just get the DS.

Rune factory (harvest moon) is great. Its coming on August something.
