Do you mind downloading games off the ps3 or psp store? If not get a go. If you dislike downloading, go with a psp 3000.
look at the games you want and you will be able to figure that out yourself better. I like PSone games alot and like having tons on the hard drive without having to uninstall games and reinstall games, I also like being able to have a replacement for an ipod as well. I don't like very many PSP games but there are some that I would like that are not on PSN, so there is good and bad about both. With the PSP you can have instant access to UMD games without all the hassle of PSN, but then it becomes not really portable because the size and all the UMDs. IMO regular PSP is not portable, so if you want that just get a PS3 instead.
Another TOPIC ABOUT "shouldI buy Psp or PSP GO?"...-_-... Someone should make a sticky with the FAQs of these two types of PSPs....
I rather have hard copies of games than downloading them...because I can sell it back( even though I never do) and it feels more like...that you actually HAVE the game....

Even though I disagree with you on the PSP vs. PSP Go decision, I do agree that this needs to become a sticky. Too many threads are started on this, it should be kept like the recommendation thread. Mods, Can you do this and take just one of these threads that already have a lot of posts on them and make it a sticky and a rule that the discussions need to stay there? If no response, I'll PM one of them to see what we can do.
Theses threads do get annoying...

My thoughts exactly... I figure it's gotta be one person seeing how long it takes for people to get tired of this CONSTANTLY posted topic. Do a search, folks. If you did, you would see that this topic gets posted on average of once per week, no lie. To answer the question, the Go is a nice piece of hardware, but I would go 3000 because of the games you'll miss out on. All the other iPod-likefunctionalities of the hardware mean nothing if you don't have the GAMES to play on the thing, in my opinion. And at least here in NA, the games are sorely lacking even at this point of the Go's life cycle as far as titles which I would consider critical library choices that are STILL not in the PSN for purchase as well as several upcoming titles which are tied up in DRM Hell. There's nothing wrong with a Go if you don't mind the lack of games (which some legitimately don't and you might be in that number, and possibly not care about the holes in the Go's available library - this is not a passive/agressive slam on the Go or it's owners - Simply a statement of fact).
Lots of games I like to play are not getting ported over, so a Go makes no sense to my needs. Your milage may vary.
Try them both before you buy. Unless you have tiny hands, the psp go is very uncomfortable to play on. The buttons are smaller and feel cheaper too. I tried them both out at best buy. They had them side by side, and I was going back and forth between them. I like the 3000 MUCH better.
I recommend that you buy a PSP and a good memory card. That way you can play UMDs or download from PSN.
PSP 3000 is wayyyyyyyy better than PSP go. I personally hate the D-pad and analog layout on the PSP go, it also has a smaller screen compared to the PSP
The only thing I'm shooting myself in the foot for getting the Go > 3000, is that I can't play Crisis Core....yet.
Other than that, I love the PSP Go. Looks a LOT sexier than the 3000, more portable, and I don't know if you can connect Blu-tooth through other PSP models, but I love synching my PS3 controller to the Go, and using that when I play it at home. PS3 controller > ANY PSP model.
If I were you, PSP2000 !!

i have the psp 1000 and the psp go and i believe the psp go is the best even better than the 3000 why?? because you dont have to carry any loose cartridges, fits in your t shirt pocket, and i use it as a music player. i know you can use the other psp for music too but they are way too bulky and are easily seen at work or school! so if you dont mind downloading the psp go is the way to go!oh and if you have a pc or ps3 you can download the games there then copy to your psp which is 10 times faster than downloading directly on your psp
How big of a memory card do you guys have?Pvt_r3dwell i have a 8GB and a 16 GB but i heard there were making a 32GB but im not sure on that

I'm pretty sure Sony already released a 32gb Pro Duo
Got the 3000 instead of the Go myself a few nights ago with a copy of Dissidia. My local Gamestop isn't even promoting the Go because of the problem with certain games not being on the psn store. I can't believe Sony would release a product they know could actually fail. I know some people love it, but the majority of us want a system that will play ALL the games, not just many of them, but all of them. I suppose it would have been difficult to get all of the psp games on psn, but maybe what they should have done is market the thing a little differently. Don't know if that would have helped the system sell better.
