Should I buy a white PS3 this summer?

Note: this is not a thread asking about opinions whether I should buy a PS3 or not.

Well, I bought my nice black PS3 slim 120 GB last summer, but Ive already used up most of its storage now. So I want to buy a white 320GB PS3 slim this summer.

But I think PS4 won't be far away, when will it be released? 2013? 2014? I want to enjoy my white PS3 at least 1 year :) and wil 320GB be more than enough if PS4 releases soon?

Buy more space not a whole new ps3.

I didn't know that there was a white Playstation 3. I would buy a white PS3 this Summer as well. Yes lets do it.

PS I hope white PS3 slim 320GB will be released soon, since I dont see any white 320GB, only 160 GB :( (but nvm anyway I can upgrade it :D)

Sure! either sell your old one, buy a white one and upgrade it to 500GB or more, better yet, keep em both. dont mind the next Playstation yet... it will be around by 2015-2017, so you still have several years to enjoy your PS3.

besides, i think its not good to buy the "PS4" right upon release, better models comes out after a year or two...

Quick update: the silver PS3 slim will be released in march!!! now its hard to decide buying the white or the silver one (hope it'll arrive in summer)Wisely321

Not to be the tool that goes this route but I guess I am... You should upgrade your HD and use what's left to get a 360, there are a lot of good exclusives over there, and multiplatform games tend to drop in price faster and farther.

I still don't get why people seem to think Sony's 10 year plan means that there will not be another PS released until the 10 year mark. That just means Sony plans on selling the PS3 for at least 10 years. Sony usually releases a new console every 6 years (PS-1994, PS2-2000, PS3-2006). Which would mean the new PS4 will probably come out in 2012.

Back to the original question. I'd buy the white one if you can afford it. I know I will be buying the white one if they ever bring it out here in the states.

imo the white PS3 slim looks better :D

it will sure looks better in my living room since I only have wood, black and white (my old wii) colour. Adding a silver doesn't suit. ;)
