So I know Ive seen plenty of threads about this game, but apparnetly there was a patch which helped th econtrols or something, plus there has been plenty of time to play the game.

Basically what do you do other than fly around in the game?

Honestly, how are the controls now (only answer if youve played since patch)

Overall is it a good game to purchase?

ps3 has very few exclusives right now and Im trying to find something and this is the main one to catch my attention that Idont already own

Rent it first, buy it if you like it. I liked it so i kept it. Not everyone's cup of tea though. I thought the controls were great and I enjoyed it thoroughly

I'd say rent it first not a bad game you dont only fly around you can land and fight as well.

You can eat people pick them up and drop them. Its not a bad game at all I own it but everyone has there

own ider of a poor game and a great game.

Dont like the controller to much. But Id say give it a shot.

You should (Obviously, as you can see) never listen to people on the internet. since most of the people seem to know how a dragon should control. and the fact that they suck a using the Sixaxis has nothing to do with them failing at playing Lair. If dragons and tons of fun, is the thing for you. and you have the time to sit down and learn how the controls works (doesn't take that long) then Lair should be a blast for you, as it has been to MANY gamers so far. (i mean, Gamers, not the whiners that complain)

i'd agree with those who say rent first. it can't be denied that it's had some pretty negative responses--that doesn't mean you won't like it, it just increases the odds that you won't. rent it, get a feel for it, and go from there.

I mean if you like collecting crappy games and telling stories to your grand children about your horrible experience, then yes, I would totally buy Lair. I know I did! ;)

I have it and I don't regret it one bit, I never had any troubles with the controls from the get-go. Fun game. Some people can't get the feel for the SIXAXIS.

Try it, the sixaxis takes a good amount of feel and testing but if you have used it for other games then this game controls like a charm. Just use gentle motions and for 180s lift and hold the control up for a good sec don't just snap it. I'd say rent it but I bought it after listening to my fellow gamers and I'll agree that it is a fun game and I think the reviewers got it wrong. It isn't perfect, but it is fun if you get a feel for it.

I bought it and I only own one other game (Resistance) because I dont buy many games. Even thought it got mixed reviews, I wanted to play something different from other games out there. I dont understand what the big issue is with the controls....I have zero problems flying the dragons (I dont understand Gamespots review about how bad the control is...its controls fine). I dont regret buying it.

Nah, I wouldnt' buy it.  Gets old pretty fast.
Rent it, admire the graphics, beat it, return it.  You'll save ~50 bucks after the rental fee :)
