Should i buy MGS 3?

Well I didn't like MGS3. MGS2: Sons of Liberty and MGS: Twin Snakes were way better.

If you just want the story you can watch the whole thing here, it is a couple hours though.

MGS3 is awesome..get it.  Subsistance is 1st and 3rd person, i believe. You have to be stealth.

MGS 3 has the most subtle(albeit too slow at the beginning) storyline, and has a very touching ending. MGS2 is a lot more faced paced(though not that much) though the story's over melodramatic moments and convoluted plot may turn off some gamers. Oh, and it has Raiden. No, not that kick ass-ing Raiden in MGS4. The 'eeeww' Raiden. (may MGS4 erase all the bad memories we had back then in MGS2..)shalashaska88

Only reason i woudl get MGS2 is for Raiden, i saw the naked gameplay, hot.

if you wont play any other game older than mgs3, then youve missed out on a lot of the best games ever made... with that said, you should play the original mgs, mgs2 and 3... the original mgs being the most important.SikKwuN

I agree If you haven't Played MGS1 or 2 you are going to have zero clue as to what is going on in MGS4. MGS3 is a Prequal to MGS1 where you play as the orginal Snake aka Big Boss.

Should I? I WILL NOT! AND I MEEN WILL NOT! PLAY ANY GAMES OLDER THEN MGS 3! I WONT TOLERATE UGLY BLURRYNESS! NOW! HSOULD I GET MGS 3? MAybe you guys can tel lme  everythgi important about al lthe other ones and who snake is, but i WONT, i WONT play older games then MGS3. Is it 3rd person or 1st person? actually, mgs3 is a prequal to the rest of the series and so you don't actually need any back story in order to enjoy and follow it.  it's actually a clever thing to do that as it allows new gamers to try the game out without having to know much about past games.  mgs 2 was great but it is quite continuity heavy in places so 3 is definatly a good place to start.  the story is somewhat slow to begin with but once the game hits it's stride it's all good.  if you like story based games this is the one for you.  i nearly cried during the final moments with big boss saluting...top game

p.s.  why wont you play any of the older games?  mgs2 may have come out in 2001 but it is graphically outstanding and hasn't really aged at all.  it was a head of it's time when it came out.  also, raiden, i have to say, doesn't bother me at all.  it's the fact that he's running around in a gimp suit that bothers me, but i don't mind the character.  it's his bloody girlfriend that irritates me.  he's in the middle of a battlefield and she wants him to talk about his feelings!  piss off!  thank god you can fast forwards past that...another top game.

 as is mgs.  the graphics may be antiqyated now, but there's still a terrific game there and it looks better than most of the games from that era.

I agree. MGS3 although good, but you dont need to play it in order to know how the plot goes. But its amazing presentation, plus its attention to the jungle details, and again, the story makes it worth the visit.

MGS2 has sublime graphics, maybe MGS3 has better details, but MGS2 has a better framerate. If you can get substance and Subsistence. It adds a lot more to the games' value. 

Play all of them. 

for some reason i think MGS2's graphics are better than MGS3 it might just be because its 60fps to 3's 30solidsnaketight

Easier on the eyes right? But you gotta give credit to mgs3 because it pays attention lots more stagerring details of the jungle environment. But still, both looks good and plays extremely well.

Im gunna go to EBgames in 2 weeks to check for them, ill probaly buy 3 first.

Its worth playing if you ever are going to play the next one but overall the story for it was good but really didn't get the same feeling I got playing the first two. If you haven't played the first one or seconed one you won't understand some of it but it still worth the play.
