Should I buy MGS4?

Should I buy MGS4 if I haven't played MGS1-3 in a long time and remember very little about them? Also, I don't have them anymore to replay...

If you're interested, I see no reason to skip one of the best games in many years.

You can download the MGS database from the store and you will be fine, or go to gamestrailer and look for mgs retrospective video which explain the event that happened from start before MGS4 events.
