Just get it now. How would you feel if people went crazy right before mgs4 comes out and buy up all the ps3's and you end up having the game, but no system to play it on? Chances are we will not see a price drop until next year at the earliest. If you have the money now, you may as well buy it, and play the games that are out now and enjoy it. Then when MGS comes out you will only have to worry about finding the game and not risk the chance the console could be hard to find. There are games out right now, and if you can't find anything you want to buy just get a membership from gamefly or whatever and rent games that way to pass the time and see if there is something out there you may want to buy. (Damn run on sentences ;) ) If you know you will be buying it sooner or later, you may as well get it out of the way.

I think the chances of that happening are very slim considering the PS3 has not sold out anywhere... Not saying that they wont in the future and by no means am I saying that they arent selling, because they've broken records with the PS3 sales already, its just that they are in very good supply. My friend put his name down for a preorder on the recent UK PS3 release about 3 weeks before the due date and got one on the day of the release. Thats how well Sony are managing the supply and demand situations at the moment.

so personally i would suggest that if u can wait then wait 2 e3 and after u read about everyfing they announce THEN decide when 2 buy it             but play resistance seriously becuase it myt b a series 2 last the life of the ps3
i say wait till sept if u need a variety really bad but like it was stated earlier waiting may be a costly mistake because i can gauratee PS3s will be on the X-Mas list and the sept. games along with it

there isnt gonna b a price drop anytime soon but there are a few good games out there u can get like oblivion or resistance to hold u until some more good games come out on the ps3

there won't be a price drop soon, especially before mgs comes out, if that's what your waiting for just buy it now, their are games out, great games actually

well at the moment play.com and Gamestation are doing the ps3 at £400, play.com do ps3 with click and hdmi cable, This info is useless to u if u dont live in the uk
There probably won't be a price drop this year unless sales totally slide. There's no point in waiting if you're going to spend the same amount of money. Just buy it now and play Resistance and rent the other good games until Lair, Heavenly Sword, MGS4, KZ2, and the rest of the great fall games.
I really don't understand why everyone wants to wait for a specific game to buy a console. You know you want the game, the hardware is completely reliable.... so just buy one asap to support the console and play the current good games like Resistance.

Why not? If there isn't a game that you want to play, then why buy the system and wait? It doesn't make good financial sense to part with you money early, if all you want is a future release. I plan to wait for games that I want to play to actually exist in playable form on the console before I buy, no matter who makes the hardware.
