Okay guys, I jsut got my PS3 in june (MGS4 bundle :) ), and I was thinking about buying Resistance because I got a $10 gift card to circuit city so the game would only be about 22 bucks, should I buy it or just rent it ? btw I have a free rental coupon for hollywood video for buying my PS3 at game crazy, let me know what you guys think.
yup. great game for a great price with solid (though often cheap) multiplayer and a great co-op experience. one of the rare games this gen to have quality split-screen co-op. That said, despite being a blockbuster game, expect a challenge.
I'd definetely recommend it. I don't know how many people still play online, but I expect the community to pick up a little closer to the release of R2. The single player + coop are worth it imo.
yea I think I will buy it at Circuit city, too bad it's a pretty far drive away, when thers a best buy right down the road :(, but I really wanna use that $10 gift card I got when I bought GTA4.
From personal experience, don't. Depending on what sort of gamer you are you may or may not like it. I found that the story dragged on for way too long and the gameplay was extremely repetitive. If I were in your situation I would rent it and see if you like it, then consider buying it.
the game's really fun online and coop with a friend, good times. It may not be on the top graphically anymore, but it's a lot of fun, long story too. It's a great price, I'd get it if I were you.
For $30 you really can't go wrong. It's a great game, plus Resistance 2 is right around the corner. Might as well get caught up on the story and enjoy a fantastic game while you're at it.
I enjoyed it and i do play it every now and then (most of the time i am on either MGS 4 or Army of Two) however if you could i would rent it to see if you like it and then if you do then buy it.
However if you was planning on picking up R2 then i would get it because lets be honest who would say watch Pirates of the Carribean 3 with out seeing 1 or 2:lol:
You would probably rent it for the Story and such since Resistance 2 is coming out and since the main focus of the game is Multiplayer I would say Rent it.
But then buying isn't a bad ideal but it's best to have two games with different gameplay then a sequel and the prequel which are identical in gameplay, ESPECIALLY SHOOTERS.
I'd say to get it if you plan on getting Resistance 2. The online play really keeps the replay value going once you've done everything there is to do in singleplayer.
Personally, I would rent it to see if I liked it for two reasons. One is to get use to the controls and the gameplay. If I found that I didn't like it I would save 60 bucks later on. Save the gift coupon to put down on Resistance 2 later in November.
getting Resistance: Fall of Man for 20 bucks is a good deal, but not as good deal as Burnout Paradise with still alot of free content still not out in the game yet, and its the best game update i have ever heard in my entire life, when i get Burnout its like i'm still anticipating for games but it was just a free content update, and i'm looking forward to the Bike update that will not force me to pay any cent to get it.
i wouldnt buy it, any replay value will be gone when resistance 2 comes out, if your looking to buy something, buy qore, get into the beta at the end of the month.
