Should I buy the PS3 Now or wait a few years?

Cool, i always wanted to play online but never had a router, but i had a broadband connection (roadrunner high speed internet). I think im getting it 2 weeks later. i heard about the price drop rumor. hopefully its true. I'm really bored. There are no good PS2 games anymore!

Yup the last good PS2 game was God of War 2 or might be Manhunt 2. So just jump on the PS3 bandwagon :)

Few years? Few months maybe :). Years ia bit too much i think. Maybe wait like 4-6 months. It would give time for maybe a price drop but mainly, i would give time for some more games to come out :). There is a lot scheduled.

U decided not to wait though and just brought it. I, personally am much enjoying and am glad i got it. Playing online games ROCKS.

Seriously people need to stop with these type of threads. TC has over 300 posts as a member of a gaming forum and doesn't know how much games cost,nothing about the ps3 price drop rumors, what games he want's, when to buy a console, what games are available for a console, I mean come on! Mods need to start cracking down on these "I just bought such and such, what games should I get","Should I buy"threads. I can understand if it's a new member with like 2 posts asking these questions but with over 300 posts that person must either be a10 year old, or had just discovered whatan Internet Forum is.

im waiting until next year, cuz i want uncharted: drake's fortune, call of duty 4, assassins creed, mercenaries 2, warhawk, metal gear solid 4, and many more! also later there will be a new touchsense controller with new enhanced rumble, and motion sensing. and my biggest reason for next year, is probably next year there will be an official price cut. im hoping fora $150 price drop, but it would be awesome if there was a $200 price drop!

Oh hell no, this is not going to happen the ps3 has just come out and they would not lower the price of the system. They are already losing profit from sales and lowering the station more would not help. If I were you, get it now so when christmas comes and all the good games are out, you don't have to stand in line to buy a ps3. AznTakumi

Theres a rumor that theres gonna be a price drop this month and the ps3 will cost 500 dollars. I say get it then. And if u have a ps2 then go to GAMESTOP and trade that in toward credit to the ps3 and get the ps3 for 400 dollars.

And if theres is no price drop then get it now, there r games like rainbow six vegas, ninja gaiden sigma, resistance fall of man, oblivion, and not to mention lair is coming out on August 14th.
