Should I Finish GOW 2 before starting GOW3?

I never played the originals on the ps2, but i do have GOW collection for ps3, i finished part 1 and am about 2 hours into part 2..now with all the games i have to finish like heavy rain..is it really worth it to finish GOW2? I have GOW 3 here in my hands and dont know if i should just go watch how part 2 ends or go thru it myself.....

I wouldn't worry about it. There IS a continuous story to the series, but it's not like you're watching Lost or anything. The game is all about kick-ass boss battles and pulling limbs off. You won't miss anything if you jump ahead.

I'm in the same boat. I'm worried that by the time i've finished GOW II I will be sick of it and wont have as much desire to play GOW III.

I've got so many games I need to finish it's ridiculous. I wish game companies would stop briniging out so many cool games!

I haven't played any of the GoW games yet, but I would still say yes. I plan on getting the GoW Collection and GoW3 down the road.

um yeah i dont get why people do this just because the 2nd one isnt new anymore doesnt mean it sucks, for example my friend wants to borrow uncharted 2 from me but i told him ill let him borrow the first one first but hes says the first one sucks even though hes never played it.

I'll go ahead and agree with the majority here. You should finish GoW2. Its a really really good game man. Obviously, its graphics arent as good as #3, but the gameplay is just as fun and its very epic. I just finished #2 myself, but it was on the PS2, so you are lucky to have that nice HD version.

I dont think it really matter all that much. The stories are great, but GOW is not famous for it's super deep story telling. Play GOW 3 and go back. No worries really
