Well if you have to trade in your 360 what choice do you have? Are you really going to base the decision on what we say anyway? I question your post as being true in the first place because unless you all live in the same bedroom why would your mom care how loud your system is? She can afford to pick up a PS3 for you (minus the difference of your trade-in) yet your house is so small that your 360 is bothering her? Anyone else smell the BS in this post? I don't own a 360 but I've played it a lot and have never had a problem with the system being too loud.

I expect more from a level 20 than that. You really believe this guy's post is real? I wish the mods would start deleting posts asking what system should I buy. It's just an attempt to start a war between fanboys where moderation is taken and threads are locked. Anyone that comes on a forum to ask the fanatics what system they should be is either A) not too bright or B) trying to incite a war.
To be honest, I would say sell it now, knowing the 360 you will get the Ring Of Deat by the time Halo 3 comes out and then another $70 out of your pocket, I traded my 360 and Wii this morning for the PS3 and have to say im impressed.
