I was just wondering if i should get a ps3 now or wait more until christmas. personally i think that they are going to sell a lot and run out more rapidly the closer it gets to christmas. what do ya'll think?
I would recommend now if the current sales are any indication of what the price drop and the soon to be released 40GB are going to do store stock. Every Gamestop in my area (the one I work at included) is completely sold out of every model right now.

That is hardly a question worth asking :) . Assuming backwards compatibility will be used on occasion, the fact that many stores are offering a free game of your choice (Resistance and Heavenly Sword among others) with the 60GB makes it the right choice.
There's no reason to wait, the price won't drop again and you don't want to be battling parents come christmas time to get the last ps3 in stock in your city.
I don't know if you are buying it yourself, or it's your parents, but since your asking this question I am assuming its you
Buy it now, so you can get this buy out of the way, and later on you have money to buy games, its gonna be a packed winter and 2008 with games so get the ps3 hardware out of the way early
Christmas. A lot of games are coming out in between now and then, or else you would have to wait, unless you already like some games that are out right now.
actually, im gonna disagree with those guys. u never know when a retailer might offer a free game or controller with purchase of a console. so keep an eye out for a good deal especially with the holiday season coming up

actually thats happening right now at best buy, and walmart when you buy a 60 gig. you get one free game plus the sony remote.
