I got one for $130US with Grand Turismo, MLB 11 and a 2GB card and think it's amazing.
Although you gotta realize you're getting old soon to be replaced technology. But it's still aweseome.
The memory cards are being sold cheap now that Sony cameras take SD cards - you should be able to find an 8 GB card for around $20.00US.
Don't settle for a 1 or 2GB card as you'll likely be downloading a lot of games from PSN, maybe in anticipation of getting a Vita and tranferring them over.
The biggest problem I have with it is the sound of video - games and music are okay but the minute you play a movie, you have to crank up to volume to full to hear anything properly and that's with headphones. So if you're buying the PSP to watch movies, be warned.
The standard battery life is pretty crappy too, but Sony sells a 2200mAh extended battery and you should be able to find that for around $20.00US.
The unit also runs off an AC adapter that you get when you buy the PSP so if you're close to wall power outlet and don't mind the cord, battery life may not be an issue if you're just going to play it at home or work.
