I really one to get this game because I am a fan of the series, however, I heard it was pretty bad on the PC. Would this game be worth it to get on the PS4 since I also heard a rumor that EA is not going to allow mods on the game for PC.

I'd get it on PC if you can (patches will eventually fix its issues, there aren't too many of them either in my opinion). I would get it on PC if you can due to the superior graphics, but PS4 version should be fine also.

I know the PC issues will eventually be ironed out, but I am a little worried about the no mods issue. I have a great PC, but I can't imagine the PC version being a huge improvement over the PS4 version...

I'm actually very curious to know the answer to this myself even though it is personal preference. I hear about a lot of people complaining about the PC K/M controls. I know you could use a controller, but if that's the only best way to do it I would rather get it on a console just so I could do it from the couch. (Can't move the PC with the setup I have.)

So I'm faced with hunching at the desk, but with "Possible" 60 fps (Not positive how much power I need to get this, but I think I'm good) and more control options

or

Comfortably on a couch with a giant TV and surround sound, Vita streaming, but 30fps.

I'm kind of torn because I see advantages in both.

I'd love more input too, but it's, again, probably a personal preference.

I'll try and answer both of you here. I have a good PC but like Luke I can't move it upstairs to where the big TV is and I'm not allowed to plug it into the big TV downstairs (gf says no means no lol). I bought it for PS4 and the graphics are excellent. Obviously it will look better on a good PC but it looks great to me anyway and the frame rate is fine.

As for the game itself it's my GOTY hands down, phenomenal game. Buy it on whatever platform you like but 'do' buy it.

This was actually very helpful. I tried taking this to system wars and they started questioning why I wouldn't buy a couch and a big TV for my office then if I couldn't move it. Yeah. That was really helpful on their part. lol, But, yeah, my wife won't have that and I was just wondering if I'd still have a fun experience on either one.

One little tidbit too that I forgot to mention, there are sometimes parts of the day she is using that computer for work when I could be gaming. So I could be on the PS4 while she works at times.

I predict I'm going to buy it for PS4, but if it goes crazy on sale one day and I love it that much, maybe get it for computer later. I pretty much did the same thing for Mass Effect 1 and 2. (I know, it's a little neurotic. lol)

That's a good strategy, pick it up for PC later when you might have it plugged into a big TV. DAI is too good a game to wait for though and no way would I play it on a small screen it would be such a waste. I'm waiting for Mass Effect Trilogy which is coming for all next gen (well, current gen now) platforms and I'll play them all again. Anyway good luck with your choice it really annoyed me what people were saying on the other thread you kept telling them what was and what was not an option and still had to plough through endless bull WTF is wrong with these people who can't read lol.

@blueinheaven: Yeah it was driving me crazy. I gave them my situation. I wasn't trying to ask them to find ways to change my situation.

And Btw, I like Mass Effect so much, I wouldn't be surprised if I buy it a third time on PS4. Now that's really nuts. lol.

I'm just glad that everyone in these forums aren't total asses. Thanks for the input again!

since the import system is cross-platform, no mods allowed, and the pc controls are terrible (and controller compatibility is shoddy), i say go for the ps4 version.

@johncraven: Yeah I think I am going to go the PS4 route, I just heard it is too terrible for the PC.

If you're a fan of the series I do not see why you should not go for it. I was looking at purchasing it as well for my PS4 but I have decided to just hold off and see where I am at with gaming come Christmas time

Yeah I think I am just going to get it on PS4 since the only advantage PC has is better graphics and higher framerate. 30FPS is just fine and reviewers have said nothing, but nice things about the PS4 version.

The PC version just has too many cons... no mods allowed, mixed with terrible bugs and terrible controls make the PS4 seem like the obvious choice here.

Yeah I also have a PC and PS4 and have had the same problem so come Christmas I will be getting it on my PS4 or Xbox One.

Enjoy the game!

Not to sound like a fan boy, but I heard the PS4 vesion was superior to the Xbox One version, because of better hardware. A lot of reviewers have noticed frame rate an graphic issues on the Xbox One version that were not on the PS4 version.

Get it for whatever you want. The only advantage the PC version has is graphics. The UI and tactical systems make keyboard and mouse kind of a chore to use, so it's probably best to just hook up a controller.

This title is basically the same across all platforms with the only difference being graphics and performance. If you have a decent PC get it there and use whatever control style you like better.
