Real quick question:

I am thinking about getting Heavenly sword for $15 and Army of Two for $13. Does that seem like good deals, or at least worth the money?

Thanks

Army of Two may be fun to run through with a friend. As for Heavenly Sword, yeah $15 is a good deal but I was personally bored to tears by that game.

yes they are both great games. Heavenly Sword's story was great and Army of Two was very fun, single player or splitscreen. Don't expect to see anyone online though.

Wow, I'm surprised at the Heavenly Sword hate. I thought Heavenly Sword was pretty great and I had a blast playing through Army of Two with a friend in one sitting. They're both good deals although Heavenly Sword is more so

Haven't played Army of Two, but I would definitely recommend Heavenly Sword, its a solid game with a strong narrative. It gets a bad rap it doesn't deserve, I thnk a number of people were down on it because it wasn't God of War.

Its a good deal on Heavenly Sword, I guess on Army Of two too. Army of Two might be only a first time play through. Heavenly Sword is a defenant pick up.

How is Heavenly Sword a meh game if you haven't played it.

Heavenly Sword is amazing and for $15 is a steal and well worth it. The production values are through the roof, the story is wonderful, and the gameplay is pretty solid, and it has wonderful pacing and an epic final boss fight. Plagued by a short campaign, but as I said at $15 its well well worth it.

This, for sure. I love God of War and still love this, because its a completely different game. Theyre cousins, maybe, but this one is awesome well. Its got one of the best bad*** female leads and one of the best bad*** villains ever. Its just too bad Ninja Theory isnt finishing the trilogy....

Heavenly Sword is really good, not sure why people say it isn't (I'm guessing because they haven't even played it). It's like God of War in girl form. Army of Two is good with a friend, so if you got brothers or something then you should enjoy it. Both are good.

Alright, thanks for all the replies everyone, I really appreciate it :)

I decided on just getting Heavenly Sword. But I still may pick up Army of Two later on once one of my friends gets it so i can play co-op.

I'm going on a used ps3 game frenzy, trying to pick up older games I have missed for pretty cheap prices, so it looks like H.S. will be a good addition.

Also thinking about picking up Ratchet and Clank Future, PoP, UT3, Soul Caliber 4, and MGS4 in the near future if any of you have any remarks about those games. Or if you have any suggestions for other cheap(ish) games please post them here.

Cheers

I haven't played either, but for the price I would buy them if I were you.

I think Soul Calibur 4 is worth renting...not sure about owning it...I'm not a fan of those games...however.

MGS4 is an "automatic buy" if you own a PS3. If your PS3 is backwards compatible, I would recommend getting MGS3 and playing through that one first.

On the other hand, I remember the last "frenzy" I went on and realized that I didn't have enough time to play and appreciate the great games I was buying.

I would suggest slowing down and playing through one game at a time...unless you have a lot of time to spare...

At any rate, at least read the Wikipedia "canon history" of Metal Gear before playing MGS4. It will take 10 minutes or so but it will make MGS4 more meaningful. Also, realize that MGS4 is kind of quirky and has some humor in it. It's good fiction, not meant to be anything else.

Alright 'll deff do that. I've been trying to find quick ways of catching up on the metal gear story. And thanks for the heads up, chances are I'm gonna buy maybe 3 out of that list i put. My jewish heritage comes out quite strong when i'm faced with making decisions about spending money =b

In my opinion, SC4 is definitely worth owning. It's a hell of a fighting game! You have to get MGS4, no question. I also love Ratchet and Clank so I'd recommend that. POP was awesome, but if there's one game on that list to rent, that's the one. I suggest you check out HALF.COM. You'll be able to get ridiculously cheap PS3 games there and maybe you'll be able to get more than you expected although I agree with the guy above... you don't want to flood yourself. Just take your time and enjoy the games.

Heavenly Sword is a truly beautiful game, and one of my favorites of the PS3 line-up. The story, characters, and acting are impressive. I gave $40 for it, and didn't regret it a bit despite the short length. Army of Two is a pretty generic tps, but still has its quirks. I enjoyed the co-op elements quite a bit, and there are some truly fun to play missions, but the story and characters are awful. For $13 though, I'd say its worth adding to the collection.

i didn't play Army of two, but i have HS, the game is crazy in ur first walkthrough, many moves, stylish action, and very good motion sensing activities, gr8 graphics however the game overall is designed for playing it 2 times max.......after that you will feel the urge to sell it...but a nice experience.

They're both pretty average games. You can probably find a better deal as they're so old too.
