Should I get the first Patapon before the 2nd?

I'm reluctant to get Patapon as it doesn't look very appealing but the great reviews make me want it. All I want to know is, do you have to get the first one to appreciate and learn how to play better Patapon 2?

Also, what extras does the second include that the first didn't. Thank you.

I have both and I recommend you buy Patapon 1 first. Patapon 2 is a bit more complicated by evolving a Patapon unit into Rarepons using the Evolution Map. Extras include four player multiplayer. I also advise you to download the demo since you are reculant to get it in the first place.digimonkey12
