I thought uncharted one fun but when I beat it I didn't want to play it again and I fear that the second one will be like that. It looks like a rental to me so I can just beat the story mode. Now my question is do you think the multiplayer has enough to keep me interested in this game for at least 3-4 months. It got really good reviews, but I'm looking for long term games, would you recommend this game only for multiplayer since I only have KZ2 as a multiplayer game for my ps3 since I get COD, BFBC, etc for my 360 because more people have micsand for the big party chats. So please tell me your opinion based on multiplayer long term game.(this is not system wars)

Your Opinion to me matters on me getting this game or other ps3 exclusive multiplayer game

Trust me, when you beat uncharted 2 you will want to play it again, not because you want to or because its fun, but because you wont be able to comprehend all of the awesomeness in one playthrough.

Also because there is a lot of replay value in the game.

Overall, yes you should buy it.

Should is defined by a balance or a ration between "want" and "need."

Do you need Uncharted 2?

- No.

Do you want Uncharted 2?

- Perhaps.

Having only played the first one, I was mildly disappointed. The game felt watered down and sloppy. Like a tropical version of something like 25 to Life or a an even more sluggish 3rd person attempt at a game like Far Cry. I'm hopeful that Uncharted 2 will improve my opinion on the series but I found the first one to be somewhat disappointing, I'd give it a 7.5 tops, which isn't bad.

Well i believe my opinion really shouldn't matter, but i will say it depends alot on what aspects of the multiplayer you like. I can see the deathmatch section of the multiplayer lasting for a long time after the games release, so if you do find alot of enjoyment in that then it most likely last for quite a while. As for the coop, i really do not see an active community of people constantly searching for games for months to come after, so it will really depend on if you have friends to play with (you can add me if you want xD since im buying the game day 1 and love the coop so far). The coop though will last quite a while if there is enough variety with the number of maps given in the game...So in short both options of the multiplayer will have some longevity if you really do enjoy them, based off the Beta. If you do not...then it is your choice. The singleplayer will most likely be very similar to the first game, just more tuned and expanded upon due to the experience the team gained from the first. I found the first to be very replayable (i have played it 6 times now xD) but if you didn't then this might not change for you...so yea...your choice if you want to buy it or not, but if your enjoying the beta why not ^.^ Naughty Dog never disappoints

Definitely a first day buy. Try out the MP demo it is amazing. The MP and single player should last a long time.

The multiplayer doesn't hold hold alot of weight when compared to games that concentrate on online first, like killzone 2. when in doubt, rent first.

I agree with you, I wasn't a huge fan of the original uncharted myself. I wasn't satisfied by the gunplay in the original. The exploration was good but the puzzles and platforming were disappointingly easy. 7.5/10 IMO. But I think the sequel looks far improved the action seems tighter and I hope they've tweaked the gunplay to make the shootouts better.
