Should I insure my new ps3 slim ?

I'm buying a slim i know the YLOD is the main issue with ps3, but still what if mine is deffective, or would the ps3 would fail before the one year warranty expires?

Also for controllers first party are always better right? and do I need to buy the hdmi from sony or can i jut buy any hdmi cable?

I usually buy all of my consoles at Best Buy since their replacement plans are the best. Console fails, go in and get a brand new one.

After hearing your thoughts i won't get it lol now i can buy tekken 6 ;)

better safe than sorry at least you will have peace of mind also most hdmi cables work the same just dont get one too cheap

Seeing as it's under manufacturer's warranty for the first year there's no need for cover, but you may want to think about when your warranty expires.

DO NOT buy electronics these days without insurring them with extra warranties. Unfortunately this will hold true from now on as NOBODY cares how things are made these days.

You get 1 year already. But then again, 3 years will be great. Slims will go down to about $200. So just buy a new one if it breaks after a year...

Yea thats what I thought about the regular PS3s but my old one broke down twice. I'm gonna try to fix it but I already bought a slim with the warranty from best buy. Only problem is its only for 2 years and I thought it would be for 3 years.

You get 1 year already. But then again, 3 years will be great. Slims will go down to about $200. So just buy a new one if it breaks after a year...

haha didnt think of it that way better of not insureing it itll cost u about 80 bucks for an extra year
