Should I or shouldn't I?

I was wondering (and yes I'm fully aware this is the PSP forum and therefore somewhat biased but oh well, sue me) if I should buy a PSP. I was only somewhat interested in one until I watched the first 9 minutes of Silent Hill Origins...and I'm impressed all to heck. But I don't know if that one game justifies purchasing a $200 device just for a game that may or may not be ported to other consoles in the near future. I guess there are some other games I would like to play on the PSP, but none of them compare to how much I want to play SH:0.

Any opinions of what I should do? I guess what I'm really asking is...is it worth it?

you should get a psp i had a ds and now i own a psp and it is way better and there is plenty of great games, this is a game sight so when you got some time look up some games and see what you like. but its a definatly a good purchase especially with all that you can do on a psp besides gaming

Yeah, I've seen some of the games for it, the only one I've ever really played was Metal Gear Acid which was suprisingly good.

 What else can you do with a PSP besides gaming and movies?

listen to music doanload demos and such store pictures

You can use your PSP as a remote for many appliances, surf the internet, have guitar tuners, tons of stuff if you look into it.USmellLikePoopy

but those are HOMEBREW(HOMEBREW ALERT) uses. which involve hacking the FW of the psp.  most psp games wont be ported to consoles, but consoles games are likely to get ported to the psp(not the uber cool next gen games though).

Yeah, I heard you can emulate PSX games on it. Hmm...

Just wondering though, does a PSP have a Wi Fi connection for internet or do you need to buy an adapter for the computer/cable modem.

Anyway its definitely worth buying if you choose your games right, as in just don't buy crap.

 you will enjoy the psp. make sure that if you buy it, get a 2 gb memory stick so you can save a lot of things for it
