Should I play Uncharted 3 multiplayer before the single player?

ok, so I don't have a lot of time to play games anymore and am usually looking to get in a few short bursts of gaming. A full single player experience would be too disjointed using these methods. I've been playing Uncharted 2's multiplayer but would like to move on to UC3 (which I've had for a long time, but haven't got around to starting it up)

Would playing the multiplayer ruin anything from the story? e.g. maps are similar to in-game locations, or the single player experience in general would get watered down if it comes after multiplayer?

The maps are similar so imo it would ruin some of the surprise to the SP story. I definitely suggest you do the single player first. It's not like you have to complete it in one setting and the game auto saves frequently, could be finished within a week after all it's only around 8-10 hours long and well worth it.

I'd do Single player first to get a feel of the game. Once you have the hang of it, then proceed to Multiplayer.

For sure, its really not long at all and will give you a better feel for the MP. The maps will make more sense to you that way too :)

Go through single player first. There are only four maps that aren't based on locations from the game.

Just a bit of a warning when you get around to multiplayer: It's definitely more unbalanced than U2.

Oh HELL YEAH! the damn multiplayer is so freaking inconsistent. U2 multiplayer was amazing, U3 is just too frustrating and full of bullsh!t

its also a great way for beginners to level up rather than getting destroyed in competitive mode against experts who have unlocked the good weapons already

The multiplayer isn't worth playing in Uncharted 3, the single player campaign is.

if you can aim it correctly (i'm personally terrible with sniper rifles in any game, i'm more of a run n gun type of player)

If where you are comfortable to play then play with it. Opinions of others don't matter.

i love playing multiplayer games. playing that on multiplayer would make the game interesting and more difficult o deal with.
