T0hey should have it reserved for you if you put down $5 and if they dont have a copy reserved for you on the launch day....then you could sue them for breaching the contract & business fraud.
i wouldnt the only reason i did was to get early access to the demo
and im pretty sure they'll have plenty
The reason to reserving a game is to garuntee a copy of the game...
And the 5$ you put down just goes to the total, so when you go pick it up it will be 55$ instead of 60$.
I already paid the whole game off, I can just walk in, show them my id and reciepts, and walk out with the game. xP
i never get why people reserved games..seem like a waste to me, i always went in and got the game i wanted...but do what you will
okay, now that makes sense to me..The reason to reserving a game is to garuntee a copy of the game...

You're right, it is a waste if you're just going to buy the game normally
It's walking in and saying "I want to pay as much as possible for the game, let me give you money!"
On the other hand if you know where to shop you can preorder games with money back and freebies.
I'm getting Uncharted 2 for 48 plus free launch day shipping, 5 bucks back, and a treasure map so it was worth it to preorder.
If I was just going to pay retail with nothing added? There's no reason at all for me to preorder

I've never in my life had problems finding ANY game the day it comes out. So, in that sense, reserving games is a waste.
I once heard a conversation out of 5 reserved copies only 4 are left =/T0hey should have it reserved for you if you put down $5 and if they dont have a copy reserved for you on the launch day....then you could sue them for breaching the contract & business fraud.

Might as well, I got burnt on Demon's Souls and I've decided to hold out until Fallout GOTY, I already have it paid off. It will be an infinite retread but I know I'll love it and I can play it, DS might kill me. Uncharted 2 looks alright.

Did you get it off of amazon? If so how did you get that price? I got it for like 20 bucks but that was only after a 30 dollar credit, the discounted price and 10 percent off with eca. Kinda sucks my amazon prime trial ran out though. Otherwise I could have gotten launch day shipping. I got it for modern warfare though.

if something like that happens, you can always yell at them to your hearts content...
and i think having an opportunity to put down gamestop when you have a legitimate case is worth the price
but seriously, if you're afraid to commit (even though the chances of you NOT getting your copy are slim at best) i'm certain that the game will be available in a lot of places, come release day...
You should be fine. Uncharted 2 is a big release so plenty of copies should be available which is why I didn't bother preording this. I usually only preorder if there's bonuses or if I'm getting a collector's edition. I may start preording more games now though because I've discovered how awesome Amazon is.
