Only reason for trading up to a 3000 is if there are games on UMD you want to play and can't get in the PSN store IMO
why buy a psp go, just to sell it to get a 3000?LP4EVA2005
Whatever the reason, people seem to be doing it. When I was in a resale the other afternoon buying my nephew a DS to replace his ancient GBA, I saw five Go units in the case. I asked the clerk about it, and he said that they were seeing a lot of Go hardware and that people were switching to the other models. He went on to say that they had to ship a few out to a neighboring store because they had so many as trade-ins. He sited lack of software and ability to buy games for the same price as the UMDs as the main reasons he had heard for the switch.
I was a real fan of the idea behind the Go until the details hit... then, not so much. I guess I'm not alone.

Look, they're really cool little gizmos... sleak, sexy little beasts... but they just don't have the amount of games they by all rights ought to have. There's nothing wrong with the hardware or the concept behind it, Sony just dropped the ball on available games. That's all. And if they manage to turn that aspect around they might find a few more converts... but as it stands, the device is gimped compared to other models Sony is still producing and puting on store shelves. I think most folks are just tired of waiting. I know I would be, if I had purchased one on the promises Sony made in the beginning.
PS - I've posted this before, but the new Sony ad campaign with the kid says that the PSP has "over 500 games available"... in the case of a Go, that's not accurate, not by a long shot.
