next year when 1080p tvs become cheaper and more common? Also would i be able to see the differnece between 1080p on a 40 or 46 inch screen and 720p on a 42 inch?
lol beacuse im wondering if its worth it to spend $2000 on something i already have. Is there a big enough difference between LCD-LCD Prpjections tvs and 720p vs. 1080p? to justify the purchase?
I would take my dad's TV since 720p is plenty good enough and spend the money I would've spent on the TV, on an HDMI enabled surround sound system, games, DVD's, and Blu-Rays.
1080p is sweet, but a lot of games don't advantage of it. In fact, most games don't. Having a surround sound system really makes a huge difference over TV speakers.

40, 42, 46 are screen sizes that you will notice a difference. If you were talking about a 37 or lower. I wouldn't recommend 1080p. But for 40" and larger. I'd say wait. This way you'll be able to enjoy 1080p movies w/no problems. Also, although most games don't support 1080p. It's nice to have when they do.
I suggest just sticking with the 720p.......1080p is slighty better but your not going to notice a huge difference as long as your connected through HDMI.
